You can also see the performance version that Han and Changbin did on the survival show. Bang Chan had so much to do for that episode he was told not to participate in that performance. It is interesting to see/hear the difference. There is also a big energy difference--they were directly competing with a group from another agency in that episode, so there was a lot of adrenaline, and that hunger you mentioned was definitely there in spades.
Definitely! I still watch it from time to time. Changbin became my ultimate bias because of that and it has never changed since(not saying I didn't get wrecked by the other members bc that's impossible🖐💀).
The way Changbin glared at JYP when he told them Chan is not gonna rap Matryoshka with them in the JYP vs YG battle was so good. But seriously that performance was amazing, with their attitude and everything. Coming to YG to do rap was bold, sure, but Han and Changbin ate that up like no tomorrow.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone recommending Thunderous yet! it's defenitily a must-watch. The song Thunderous” is in Korean “sorikkun", which has two meanings one ofc is Thunderous and the other one is a term that refers generally to a singer, usually of traditional Korean music forms. Bang Chan explained that “The message of the song is that Stray Kids, as sorikkun, will face off against the jansorikkun [naggers] and confidently let loose our sound.” Thunderous is from their NOEASY album, NOEASY is a spin on the word “NOISY.”They meant that they want to leave a LOUD impact on the world with their music. Also quoting Felix about the concept, “You could say our concept this time is ‘dokkaebi‘ [goblins] and ‘black and red. We’re expressing Stray Kids’ unique sound and color in a way that we haven’t shown before.” Thunderous is one of their huge hits after their rise in popularity because of Kingdom. I found both God's menu and Thunderous as songs that really describe what kind of music and color Stray kids has as a group.
This song is awesome. Because matryoshka is a Russian doll they even sang some Russian words in this song. They are so smart and talented...and they were so young then. Thanks Teddy!
1:15 No, it's Spanish. There are several Korean words/phrases for goodbye (depending on who you're talking to or what you're doing), and adios ain't one of them. 😉 What you appear to be hearing as "adiosi", is "adios" followed by the first syllable of the next word. 2:20 Bear in mind, "matryoshka" is a Russian word, being said by Koreans who don't have the syllables to pronounce Russian. So that's how _Koreans_ say "matryoshka", not how it's actually pronounced in Russian. When he's just speaking, Chan does actually pronounce the word properly. 2:55 This actually comes from their third digital EP, Horizon, which was released on RUclips and SoundCloud, and 3RACHA do still occasionally produce tracks for just the three of the them. Fun fact: Felix is the only other SKZ member who actually _did_ feature on an original 3RACHA track; For You, from the same EP (which was later rewritten as Mixtape 3 for the "I am YOU" bonus track... and then reworked again and rechristened For You on "SKZ2021"...). Some extra 3RACHA homework: A live abridged version of Matryoshka as performed by Changbin and Han during the Stray Kids pre-debut survival show. One challenge had them pitted against a group of trainees from YG Entertainment (Blackpink, Big Bang, Winner, iKON etc); their Silver Boys (this team included Bang Yedam, Jihoon and Doyoung, now in Treasure, Woong from AB6IX, and producer Choi Raesung). These boys got to enjoy an absolute _masterclass_ from Binnie and Han: ruclips.net/video/zhSkYc0pk7U/видео.html Also, how about treating yourself to an underground gig? This is baby 3RACHA in July 2017, performing at a local open mic night. We have three performances: Runner's High: ruclips.net/video/tmSMb3ulUNw/видео.html 건들지마/Don't Touch Me: ruclips.net/video/fPHD5ZUIc_I/видео.html ID:a: ruclips.net/video/8srXPwHOacw/видео.html
Felix's "feature" on For You will never not be hilarious. I second every recommendation this smart STAY made. The fetus!3RACHA live gigs are iconic -- and an excellent way to see not only how good they already were as literal kids, but also how very, very far they've come.
This was my first Changbin rap I heard- that grit you talked about, that got me. I LOVED it. That rap was amazing to me. He used this for his survival show rap battle and it was AMAZING. I fell hard for Binnie too. Lol
dude i love your reactions to stray kids/3racha so much, it feels like i'm seeing it for the first time together and i keep yelling "YES, I KNOW!!!! AMAZING ISN'T IT?" curious to know your reaction about Zone by 3racha
2 года назад+5
Of every 10 words that comes out of your mouth, 11 is Changbin 🥰 Love it.
Just love how they reference to the Russian dolls to explain there is many layers to them and their music, whether it's 3racha or Stray Kids. Take care
If you wanna hear more grit songs from Changbin I highly recommend listening to Beware(gggrr), Mirror & My Zone . You hear it ALOT in those songs, I miss his grit ALOT too lol 😆
omggg I waited for thiss. I just watched your miroh reaction and wanted more content from you hahha Also I came here to recommend Stray Kids "MIRROR" It's an older song of them, but I think you'll find it very interesting and it sounds very good. I personally like this song so much because it has great rap, instrumental, vocals and message behind it (Kinda underrated song so yeah, I'm here to promote my boys older songs 😌)
Everyone who's recommended watching the 2RACHA live version of this from the survival show is right -- the energy is noticeably more intense there. They were in the midst of weeks of extreme stress and constant pressure, and now they were 1) competing(ish) directly against another team, 2) representing the company, 3) doing a 3RACHA rap while deprived of their leader/one-third of 3RACHA, 4) carrying the weight of being "the rappers JYP's been trying to find for years." There's a cut version: ruclips.net/video/zhSkYc0pk7U/видео.html (just the song) and the full clip: ruclips.net/video/wJPzdaWUcow/видео.html (gives a little more feel for how young they were and how many eyes were on them)
Teddy "We Go" by 3Racha is also Hot. You will like it a lot. You know it's nothing but rap! I feel you on wanting more of the song, Hey! Feel free in rewiring the song. We don't mind 😁
"hip-hop and rap was their first love" this is literally the thing that brought them together! bang chan got to be good friend with han and changbin when they were trainees, and the three of them started making music together, way before stray kids was even formed. their OG soundcloud stuff is still mostly up, but they put it out as a way to prove to jyp that they really were good enough to do this shit all themselves. literally just three teenage dudes so overflowing with talent that once they banded together, there was no stopping them. honestly just...fucking incredible ❤🔥
Listening to 3RACHA's old music makes me feel so proud. Especially seeing how Bang Chan's track-making and songwriting skills improved. He was good back then too, composed some really good hooks as well. But now he improved himself so much, I mean making a track like Red Lights'? :D He gets better with every album they drop. His toplines are the absolute best too, I think he might be my fav among kpop producers in that department. Hope we get to see 3RACHA win a best producer award one day.
@yaya4876 for the sake of justice, in Russian there will be not a matr-yosh-ka, but a matr-osh-ka, only the letter K before -osh- should sound soft, ahha. матрёшка, not матрьёшка (no negativity or anything, just suddenly you are interested )
I love your reactions I always look forward to your videos!! Here's some other fire ass songs for you to react *wink wink* - Thunderous - All In (Japanese version) - Christmas Evel - Cheese - We go (3racha unit song) - Wolfgang - District 9 (their debut song) - Hellevator (their first song as a group) - Victory Song - Double Knot These are some of my favourites that I think you'll like too :))
the next 3racha songs i highly recommend you react to (with godly changbin raps) are: > if (changbin solo!!) > zone (there's also a video on their official channel) > broken compass (the lyrics are so good)
the original pronunciation is "ma-tryosh-ka" cuz it's russian but they pronounce it differently cuz they don't speak russian and also to fit the song better I guess, since they also use the words for young girl "devushka" and grandma "babushka" in the song (syllables are divided the same way, de-vush-ka, ba-bush-ka) just a little clarification from someone who know a bit of russian hehe
I'm really glad you watched this, I kind of knew you would like this haha. You should check out the version on their survival show as well (just search the name + jyp Vs yg and you'll find it) Chan isn't in it (he did a lot of other stuff that episode and was told to sit out) but the energy of Han, and especially, Changbin is MAGICAL. Also, I have to thank you for these reactions, not only is it super interesting to see the thoughts of a rap fan, but the ideas and thoughts of their lyrics are very very fun. Honestly, just react to all of 3racha, yes, they have changed a lot since, but they were so young at that point (Chan was 19, Changbin 17 and Han 16 i believe) that it's understandable, and the raw talent they had, even at that age is mind-blowing.
Also, ㅅ in Korean can be pronounced as an "S" or an "SH" depending on dialect. Channie grew up in Australia, but he was born in Seoul and then moved back and studied Korean in Seoul, so he speaks a Seoul standard satoori, but Changbin is from further south in the peninsula. That's why Yoongi sometimes sounds like he has a lisp. It's Daegu dialect pronunciation sneaking through. The further south you get from the capitol, the more differences you're gonna see from Seoul Standard. XD
oh my god if you wanna explore more 3racha songs PLEASSSSSEEE react to wallet room by them the song is absolutely brilliant it literally scratches a part of my brain that no other song does its insane!!
I just recently started listening to Stray Kids about 2 months ago, so it's nice to see your reactions as someone who doesn't seem to have much experience in kpop. Together, we fall harder for Stray Kids--especially for "Binnie Baby" 🥺
I would love for you to check out 3rachas double knot! That was one of my favorites back then :) changbins verse goes crazy and it's either one of or THE fastest raps Changbin did in a song
Great reaction as always! Re: Changbin's voice then vs. now... There's a vocal coach reactor that I watch who has talked about how the fry on his voice (in present day) is more of a "wet" fry which is healthier for the voice. In these older songs, where he sounds more gritty, the vocal fry sounds more "dry". I'm wondering if he changed/improved his technique to preserve his voice. Just a thought. Anyway, thanks for all you for the kids and Stay!
Even though the songs 3racha made predebut aren’t as polished as their recent songs, they still slap 😤 One of 3racha I really like is Cloud 9! Or another one, which is a Changbin/SpearB solo: IF ❤️
I agree that it feels like a short song, which is weird. Maybe I'm just greedy too lol I actually heard the survival show version with just Binnie and Hannie first, you won't regret giving that version a go if you are interested 👍😎
love that bit at the end where you were talking about the rap/hip hop fundamentals because it really makes a difference. there are idol rappers who learned the craft well, but when you come from a rap unit to start, it hits different and it's so obvious with 3racha not only in their delivery and writing, but the music fundamentals as well. i'm sure i'm not the only one to say it but that's how bts is, they were built off a rap trio and have so many rap/hip hop deep cuts that you would genuinely enjoy. most of their early group stuff is pure hip hop, and i think you'd be way more interested in that than recent releases. i personally think you should start with rapline tracks, though! outro:tear is like my number one, i think you'd really like the flow play and texture, but i also recommend the cyphers for real grasp of their rap ability, especially cypher pt 3, i think you'd enjoy the word play. sorry, try not to leave comments about other groups like this long ass thing but your comment at the end,i felt that. i think you'd dig bts rapline even if you don't end up being into the group tracks.
It's the lyrics man! "If you want to know me open your eardrums." They share So Much in their lyrics. You gotta listen with a translation because otherwise you're missing out on THEM. ❤️
Loved the reaction. Putting this here as well but I think you’d enjoy watching “three men in colorful pants (10% 3RACHA, 90% laughter)” so if you’re ever in the mood for more behind the scenes funny stuff to get to know 3RACHA, put this on!
Also 3RACHA have some remixes to their songs as a trio with whole Stray Kids. They are named these songs "Mixtape", like Mixtape #1, Mixtape #2 etc and include in some older albums. They have music video for 3 of mixtapes (2, 3, 4), video for Mixtape #1 named Placebo this is original name of 3RACHA song's which they are remade and kind of video for Mixtape Spin-Off (like a remix of previous 4 mixtapes)
The most recent side quest from 3RACHA was the collab Just Breath with Japanese artist Sky Hi (would love to see your reaction on that as well). They also produced a track for another Japanese group recently and I would love to see them producing for more groups like maybe a girl group. That would be so interesting to hear!
Nah, Han is saying the Spanish "Adiós" the E you hear after is actually the first syllable of the next word. I think when Changbin is live he is still hungry. You can hear the grime and grip and gruffness in some performances at award shows or at Kingdom. I still think about Victory Song at MAMA. One of my favorites. I do wonder if some of the grit to his voice was originally him trying to prove himself as a teen performer. But yes. When he has that grit it is 🔥
One performance that is seriously underrated by 3RACHA is carpe diem ! It’s actually just han and Changbin rapping but ofc chan made the track ! It’s sooooo good
@@TeddyGreyOS You know what, I am pretty sure I knew that. Since I watched it. Not sure what I was thinking.... maybe I like it so much I wanted you to listen to it again XD sorry.
I know you only react to the songs that are very heavily based and focused on rap but i really want you to react to a fun song they made called MAKNAE ON TOP, i think you'll enjoy the beat and it's also made about I.N for him being the greatest lmaoXD
It's been 5 years and changbins "maaaatroshyka" still hits me as hard
It has been 5 years and i still cant get the timing of the matroshika right 😔😔😔
SAME HERE
You can also see the performance version that Han and Changbin did on the survival show. Bang Chan had so much to do for that episode he was told not to participate in that performance. Yeeeep 💕 It's the best version!!
Yes please watch the YG vs JYP Matryoshka version … it is even more impressive to see them do it as a battle almost
I would also recommend that version
Uppp

do you know they were only 17, 18 and 20 when they made this song ? they are talented boys !
that’s if you’re going by survival show dates. if you go by when they first released it, han is 16 and chan is 19. so young and talented!

love that bit at the end where you were talking about the rap/hip hop fundamentals because it really makes a difference. there are idol rappers who learned the craft well, but when you come from a rap unit to start, it hits different and it's so obvious with 3racha not only in their delivery and writing, but the music fundamentals as well. i'm sure i'm not the only one to say it but that's how bts is, they were built off a rap trio and have so many rap/hip hop deep cuts that you would genuinely enjoy. most of their early group stuff is pure hip hop, and i think you'd be way more interested in that than recent releases. i personally think you should start with rapline tracks, though! outro:tear is like my number one, i think you'd really like the flow play and texture, but i also recommend the cyphers for real grasp of their rap ability, especially cypher pt 3, i think you'd enjoy the word play. sorry, try not to leave comments about other groups like this long ass thing but your comment at the end,i felt that. i think you'd dig bts rapline even if you don't end up being into the group tracks.
It's the lyrics man! "If you want to know me open your eardrums." They share So Much in their lyrics. You gotta listen with a translation because otherwise you're missing out on THEM. ❤️
I really miss that grit to his voice in their newer stuff
Alchemistry, Plus Minus and Eunsoki by 3racha are must listens, top tier 3racha songs imo
3racha🤟😍
i love matryoshka so much 😭 3racha are truly geniuses.
please check out easy by skz. you’ll LOVE it!
That would be so interesting to hear!
double knot by 3racha!!!!
Yaaaaasss! Thank you, Teddy!
you should react to stray kids 'mirror' its from around their debut, like 4 years ago
Excelente
Finaaaaally! 🖤
Can't wait to see you react to "Thunderous" and "District 9"
The adíos-i part is Jisung saying Adios and taking over the first syllable of the next word.
ахаха они реально поют "матрешка", "девушка", "бабушка" по-русски 🥺🤲
You have to see the performance version that Han and Changbin did on the survival show its really good to.
idk why no one recommended "we go" and "just breathe" but they're a MUUSTT
Nah, Han is saying the Spanish "Adiós" the E you hear after is actually the first syllable of the next word.
I think when Changbin is live he is still hungry. You can hear the grime and grip and gruffness in some performances at award shows or at Kingdom. I still think about Victory Song at MAMA. One of my favorites.
I do wonder if some of the grit to his voice was originally him trying to prove himself as a teen performer. But yes. When he has that grit it is 🔥
Teddy 3racha We Go reaction next...😁
One performance that is seriously underrated by 3RACHA is carpe diem ! It’s actually just han and Changbin rapping but ofc chan made the track ! It’s sooooo good
I recommend you to listen to other tracks from 3RACHA as 1,000,000 , Runners high, Wallet Room and Intro
if you want the sky hype back, thunderous is THE VIDEO to react to
Waoo me fascinan tus videos Amo Stray Kids 100% Stay 💕💕💕💜💜❣❣❣❣
Idk if you have yet but (3racha zone)is a good one too
My favorite part is their intense mispronunciation of the word matryoshka.
I will add my recommendation for Runner's High too. I'm sure you're gong to enjoy it as well😁
Already done that one! I did Runners High and Wow first!
@@TeddyGreyOS You know what, I am pretty sure I knew that. Since I watched it. Not sure what I was thinking.... maybe I like it so much I wanted you to listen to it again XD sorry.
@@TeddyGreyOS I would change my recommendation to "We Go" by 3racha then. I'm sure you will enjoy it. 😊😊
yes we all are greedy when it comes to 3racha's stuff.
Omg I'm so happy 😍😍😍
YOU NEED LISTEN TO "START LINE" & "DOUBLE KNOT" of 3RACHA TOO
You could check out Changbin's cypher, I think you would really enjoy it. 🔥
FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYY
You should listen to both the normal hoodie season and 3racha hoodie season please they’re both good
it's funny to listen to them pronouncing russian "Matryoshka", "Devushka", "Babushka", not correctly but it's ok))
3racha has a few eps n tracks out n did y’all know the were sound cloud rappers 🤔
I love stray kids, but changbin is really amazing, react to TOP and "Boxer" special video, great songs by the group
I know you only react to the songs that are very heavily based and focused on rap but i really want you to react to a fun song they made called MAKNAE ON TOP, i think you'll enjoy the beat and it's also made about I.N for him being the greatest lmaoXD
You should react to ‘Don Quixote’ or ‘Zone’ by 3racha next!!
