    Local Knowledge Fishing Show
    S02 E09 Skip Skip Boom Full Episode
    THE SHOW:
    Local Knowledge focuses on the differing and often humorous viewpoints of two drastically different fishermen from opposite sides of the country. Ali Hussainy of San Diego, California is the President of BD Outdoors, the largest fishing website on the net. Capt. Rush Maltz is a born & raised Florida Keys fishing guide. Each is a master on their home turf, but the playing fields are leveled as they travel to strange waters to explore and learn new local knowledge.
    Follow two friends as they explore both local and exotic fishing destinations in search of a new flavor of local knowledge. They not only dig deep into the fishing aspect, but the food, people and the culture of fishing that permeate a local and make it unique and special. They seek out a new kind of adventure off the beaten path.

    Fantastic! I fished So Cal hard in the 70’s and was a boat captain in the ‘80’s. I would see maybe one or two breezing schools of bf per year. We fished hard and long and never hooked one. Now I am in the PNW and addicted to Steelhead but the Jones to return to So Cal and land one of these fish is strong! Bucket list fish for me! Thanks for the show!

      That's insane. We are seeing 2-20 giant breezers a day right now and they like the flying fish!

    Wow just seeing this out of the box ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

    your guys show is an excellent representation of sportfishing, something I didn't have growing up in the 90s. It feels good that a lot Is based in California where I grew up, I used to always read the reports growing up and when the internet first came out, its just crazy to see how far this sport has come with the web. Keep it up, greetings from Portland Oregon

    I thought that bent fishing rod was for keeping the rod in the holder, not for stand up fighting--but what do I know?

    • @LocalKnowledge
      @LocalKnowledge  7 лет назад

      Actually there are two kinds of bent butts. Long butts are made for chair fishing. Short butts are made to fished from a harness. The bent butt gives you a better angle to put pressure on the fish. Ali

    • @jimquantic
      @jimquantic 7 лет назад

      Which of the two are kept in the rail rod holder--which I see on "Wicket tuna"? They neither use it stand up or in a chair; they keep it in the rail holder the entire fight

    • @LocalKnowledge
      @LocalKnowledge  7 лет назад

      I think those guys are using chair butts to get those big 130 reels far enough from the gunnel to be able to turn the handle.

    Have you made it out to Tanner/Cortes Bank in that boat of yours?

    • @kenro74
      @kenro74 7 лет назад

      Chicken Soup You would need lots of gas to go out there 80-90 miles from land. Also BFT usually show up late fall and the weather is brutal. Usually not recommended unless large sports boat

      Hey CS, We haven't fished the bank proper on this boat. We have the range, no problem but the fishing out there just hasn't warranted that long of a run.
