BlackRock didn't become so big by timing the market, they got there by convincing people that simply dollar cost averaging into an index fund isn't good enough. Wall Street makes most of its money off of the fees they charge. On average, they are no better at timing the market than a monkey. If one was long the market a few months back, then it goes without saying that one should be buying the market at today's discounted prices.

Nope, completely wrong. The Fed's dual mandate is full employment with 2-3% inflation. Everything else is secondary, tertiary, etc. We are currently well, well beyond full employment and well, well beyond the inflation target range. They will keep tightening until one or both of those break. Slowing down the economy is a byproduct. I do agree this is not a stock market dip. Still a tremendous amount of room to the downside.

Think about this. Parker Hannifin just told us 1 year on any new hydraulic motors. Big truck manufacturers are over 1 year out on new builds. Ford and GM still struggling to get chips to make cars. When the 3rd and 4th quarter earnings hit, it's going to be the largest crash in us history. Many once strong businesses will close. I predict another 40% loss by the winter time.

Nope, completely wrong. The Fed's dual mandate is full employment with 2-3% inflation. Everything else is secondary, tertiary, etc. We are currently well, well beyond full employment and well, well beyond the inflation target range. They will keep tightening until one or both of those break. Slowing down the economy is a byproduct. I do agree this is not a stock market dip. Still a tremendous amount of room to the downside.

Think about this. Parker Hannifin just told us 1 year on any new hydraulic motors. Big truck manufacturers are over 1 year out on new builds. Ford and GM still struggling to get chips to make cars. When the 3rd and 4th quarter earnings hit, it's going to be the largest crash in us history. Many once strong businesses will close. I predict another 40% loss by the winter time.
