The 2.0L NA is adequate enough to get up to speed in my opinion. I have no issues getting up to highway speed and passing people. Having a manual transmission definitely makes a big difference compared to the CVT. It’s much more enjoyable to drive. Excited for the future videos!

I think you said something about the wipers being annoying to put "up" for snow- did you figure out the "wiper maintainance" mode? Shut your car off and hold the wiper stalk up for 2 seconds and it'll pop the wipers in full up position.

Nice video and the overlay ! You go thru the first gear sooo fast on left frame. It's at 7k when the right one is only at 6k. Granted the left frame starts out near 4k when the right frame is at 3.5k. And you can definitely see the downside of a digital speed readout. In a sprint it updates way too slowly to know the instant speed and that's probably done on purpose so one can read a stable number... If we had analog speed, we could check the gear ratios out but those are probably also documented.
Actually in a sprint, a CVT will keep the revs at the limiter the whole time so the engine is at peak torque. But you're not necessarily extracting that out since the CVT needs to upshift fast enough (and it'll be geared to gradual shifts). So in one, you accelerate as fast as transmission upshifts but in the other (geared), it's as fast as the engine accelerates the load.

Came unlocked and in great condition. No issues. The Ktuner flash tune along with upgraded exhaust + intake make it feel so much better. The throttle response is about as close to instant as you can get on these cars. I have VTEC kicking in at 5,000 and redline at 7,000. Not gonna be fast by any means, but really wakes the engine up and makes the power delivery feel so much better. Great daily either way, whether it's stock or not.

It would be nice if the throttle body closed all the way with my foot off the gas, and maybe if the vtec engaged at lower rpms since I almost never go past 4 even in normal hard acceleration (instead of what, 6100 rpms?), but even so it's a very fun car to drive, and significantly faster than the 2003 Civic LX I was using before (with over 230k miles). Although something to be said for that 03, the 1.7L ate the number 4 cylinder on my way home from a long trip, and it still managed to make it back over 900 miles on just 3 cylinders after I had a shop disable the fuel injector. You mentioned that you were going to install a aftermarket intake. i'd sure like to talk you out of that. They don't do anything for the performance of the car especially in your use except the intake is noisy, but some people like that. The only time an intake would be of any value or gain any kind of horsepower is if you were drag racing it, or it was constantly being used in full power at high rpm where the intake might be useful. Maybe you have seen "the lemon factor" here is just one of the links... ruclips.net/video/wQ-1DEia5pQ/видео.html . It's understood that he's not bolting these intakes on your particular engine, but it just goes to show how money is wasted buying aftermarket air intakes, and I haven't even mentioned how bad the filtration system is compared to the stock Honda filter with its cold air intake. Just my two Cents.

They are very hard to find. At the time I purchased mine, it was the only one in Texas. The next closest I could find was in Kansas, and I was ready to make the drive if I had to! Good luck! I hope you find one soon!

@@jpierce1987 finally my dealership found three or four that are in preproduction right now, so I may be an owner in about 45 days. I hope this works out.

Once you “ tune it” your warranty is gonr

Can always flash back to oem ecu. Plus, the engine in this car is literally the last thing I’m worried about for this cars warranty . Big reason I went with the k20 trim

@@NAUS2K nope . Dealers scam tool will show that it is tuned. If you have it flashed, that also shows. It’s not just the engine portion of the warranty they will be canceled, it will be the entire warranty. Zero coverage no coverage for the blower motor. No coverage for a key fob. No coverage for nothing. Read your owners manual. Entire warranty goes away, you are 100% on your own and responsible for all failures the minute you modify the tuning.

You are hunting something that doesn't exist. I'm here to tell you that the lack of engine braking has nothing to do with the throttle body. It has everything to do with the ultra low friction engine internals and drivetrain, super thin oil, and valve timing.

Go watch my other video on pedal commander where I show the throttle body tuning in detail, the throttle body stays open quite a bit when you are off the throttle. It’s RPM based so it maintains a low level of vacuum through the engine and manifold. If it closed all the way it would absolutely help out with engine braking

Older car on NY = rust. Goal behind buying new was to get 10+ years out of a reliably daily and not deal with rust issues
