Blade was immune to silver unlike full vampires. Only thing that had to be done was removing the silver then give him the serum or blood to heal his injuries. As stated by Whistler and many others he has all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses except for the thirst.
Blade is one of my favorite Marvel characters/vampires/vampire hunters.
Being a Blk American woman, Blade means a lot to me (then and now). He's one of my favorite movies, antihero/characters ever! I was pretty young with this movie came out (and probably too young to have been watching it😅). I adore Wiselys performance and all the cast was great also. Anyway, please do all three Blade films:-)

Director Stephen Norrington stated Pearl's obesity was his cannibalistic lust for infants and children as Pearl loves to eat their hearts, instead of drinking their blood. This must mean that cannibalism, eating flesh from people, is a offense against the vampiric nature. And I mean the nature of the creatures themselves, like fishes can't breath without gills for example. Continue with the other films Dean. Then when ur finished, do Morbius. I don't care that it flopped, it was an awesome film with great cgi's, and he appears in a deleted scene in the ending of Blade. Morbius is the only "Living" vampire in the whole+any genre. Is one by race, has all their powers, non of their weaknesses. *BUT* the whole concept status of being undead, *he* is still alive.

I love Blade. The Blade series was the 1st Vampire story I saw where they made vamps complex instead of 1-dimensional evil.

I haven't watched it in years, but I loved Blade. Quin being portrayed so well makes sense since he was played by Donal Logue.
I've met Donal Logue. His twin sister was my elementary school teacher. Guy is really nice, very down to earth.

The intro scene in the first Blade movie is one of the best intros that I’ve seen in movies in general (next to Underworld where Selene jumps from an old building and lands perfectly badass 🤣)

Blade redefined vampires and dark superhero movies for generations to come 25 years later. And it's still holds up. I just wonder how the new one will fare with marshala Ali as the lead.
Fun fact: movie Blade greatly influenced comic Blade. Before the movies he didn’t really have powers except for immunity from vampirism. Also in the comics he was born in London…. in the late 1800s.
Yeah, glad the movies fixed all of that. And being born in a prodominently white country around Jim Crow era? Don't know where they thought they were going, but glad Snipes made him a New Yorker like Spidey and Punisher 😂😂 just feels right. And made him a Dhampir hybrid like he's supposed to be(let's be honest, the comic version of him ain't the best, goofy and made no sense) but yeah asides from Dante in Capcom's Devil May Cry, Blade's the O.G supernatural GOAT 😎⚔️🗡️

@@brycesagner4497 They changed it to Detroit once Sticky Fingaz was given the role, which was the most retarded thing to do. 🤦🤦 Should've just given it to Michael Jai White for the show in '06, even though he's to stocky and not as good an actor like Snipes, at least he's got training in Shotokan Karate, Goju-Ryu Karate, Kyokushin Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, boxing ,Taekwondo and Wushu. But at this point, it's best to leave it up to animation and video games to bring out the best in the character, considering Snipes made the O.G vamp slayer a top tier GOAT

The Day Walker
Blade in the movies has no vampiric weaknesses except for the thirst and has slight sensitivity with his vision in the day. He has a moderated healing factor, superficial cuts and lacerations can heal in seconds, broken bones and more serious injuries are not healed instantaneously, they take time to heal, far quicker than a mortal, but not instantaneously. Also Blade ages like a human.
Anybody else remember Blade from Spider Man TAS? That's what I grew up with. Blade II is my favorite. It's cute when Blade gets friends.
