    I’m sure it would work great especially if your outflow was at the bottom of the first filter tank

      @Sabre_Wild_Life  Год назад +1

      I really would prefer it that way for pure filtration, the downside is that if you allow the media to get just a little to clogged it can cause the whole tank to overflow, whereas if the in flow is in the bottom of the water tank it has to flow up through the media so there is less overflow risk

      @@Sabre_Wild_Life true ….you could install emergency overflow and then primary on the bottom?

    Do you have catfish in there too?

      I don't, the pond could easily support them but most species get big enough that I wouldn't want to risk them hassling my koi fish. we have a clay pond out back that's stocked with channel cats though XD

    Ok so blue water? Is that ok for the fish?

      The thumbnail is slightly saturated. It was lightly dyed at the time to control algae because my pool gets full sun all day. The dye was a short-term solution to prevent a huge algal bloom and the subsequent nitrogen spike that would follow until the water matured and developed natural tannins/ aquatic plants. It's now a much more natural dark green color. If I shade it, it would get a lot clearer
