Ok so I’d like to point this out. Out of all the videos on the net, wherever you find it. Nothing compares to how Leah explains all the details. She should be over a million subscribers. Leah your the best there is in the trades and this world needs more skilled people like you.
yes, I agree. I think she had explained this orange peel and knockdown to perfection. Her speaking voice is very easy to understand and she explained this very good, really very good. I am happy I had found this also.
I've literally been on the internet for an hour watching video after video on how to use a drywall texture gun, Leah lays it out beautifully! Any of my concerns about never using a gun have been answered. keep doing what you're doing you make it so easy for us fellow construction workers.
Thank you, I appreciate your video's. I purchased a new home with Lennar Builder, Trinity Crossing in Forney Tx. I been complaining to several representatives about my sheetrock concerns, and calk that was cracking throughout my entire home. After one year of different Lennar reps and company contractor. My family and I was suck with the complete repairs. I truly appreciate your video's. It help me build the confidence to do my own work. And it saved me thousands of dollars. Thanks again
Leah is the only one I know on here, who could read Ikea instructions, and make them easy to understand. Great instruction, and encouragement. I'm a bit older than most on here, been painting awhile, and this taught me a few things! Well done!
I've worked in home remodeling for most of my life , never did do much drywall work at all.( farmed that work out to others ) but the drywallers/finishers told me about mixing water in compound even when doing joints..your the first one to mention mixing a little water in the compound..thanks leah always enjoy your videos.
Leah is the Carl Sagan of DIY. An expert in her field and an expert teacher. I promise you if you follow her directions it will go perfectly. I did,I even bought what looks like the same gun from a national discount tool store. $29 I did part of the ceiling in my bathroom over where the shower is. About 3x5 feet the spraying itself took about one minute, the set up and cleanup took longer. Thanks again Leah!
Explaining the tools and how to properly use them, makes your videos stand out from the rest. Very detailed and to the point, not a bunch of rambling. Keep up the great work.
This is exactly what I've been looking for four years! I didn't know what this was called when I saw it in my apartment bathroom, and I wanted to redo my parents house bathroom the same way. Now I know it's called Orange Peel knockdown texture oh, and how to do it! Thank you so much, and your channel is amazing. I just found it today. Don't know how I never came across your awesome videos before.
Leah, I am a full time handyman with a wide range of skills. I very much respect and appreciate your detail and clarity. Thank you. Blessing to you Leah
I LOVE YOU LEAH! You make me feel like I can do all those things that so many of us were brought up to believe were "the other half's job/skill".. THANK YOU!
Great job on instructions. I haven't used a hopper in 10 yrs. so I was looking for a video to refresh my memory. It all came back when I viewed your video.
Great vid Leah! I do drywall for my business and you did a very thorough job explaining how to use a hopper. I wish I had instructors like you growing up. I do use my pancake compressor for texturing but it’s definitely better to use a larger compressor. When I spray whole rooms I always feel bad for my little red husky compressor as it doesn’t stop running until I’m done spraying the whole room. I keep thinking okay this is it, I’ll be buying another one of these today.. but it keeps chugging along. I’d rather use a bigger one but I need something portable for going to the different job sites.
Using this informational video for a library room renovation for my Fraternity House located at Fresno State University. Thank you for this amazing videos us as students can use for our own learning process and renovation!
Hey Leah. I just want to say thank you for what you do for all of us D.I.Yers. You take the time to explain in a way that anyone should understand completely. I did say should..lol... I have this job coming up soon myself. Replacing a part of a rain damaged ceiling. Keep up the great content that you do. Hope you have a great weekend!!!
I have watched a lot of your videos and really appreciate your teaching style. You have just the right balance of detailed explanation and hands on just do it! Thanks so much for making these!!
You are absolutely awesome! You explain things so well. I have watched many other videos and all have left me confused primarily because the author clearly is guessing their way through the process and struggling to explain what, why and how. You know what you're doing and you know how to clearly articulate that to your audience. Thank you!
This was very helpful! I was concerned about the last part where she talked about the HP of air compressor because I only have 1 HP on mine. It worked out pretty good, although it maybe ideal to use a beefier machine, the smaller ones still work.
I missed this video last week. I don't know how, but I got unsubscribed from a bunch of channels. How rude, right? Thanks for sharing this with us. I always enjoy how thoroughly you explain things to us.
Outstanding explanation on texturing walls, you even explain the size of the tips and what kind of pattern to expect out of them, which is what I was looking for other channels here on RUclips skip that massage, thank you Leah you are a true craftsman .now I’m going to subscribe to your channel.
This was a Great Video for a first timer. We are working on our Off Grid home in Alaska and just bought a texture gun. You explained everything great. Thank you!
Great tutorial! You are a natural teacher and that is a huge compliment coming from a long line of teachers!! Your explanation of every step is on point. Thank you for taking the time to do this video.
Your videos are always so precise! Thank you for the reminder/refresher. I haven’t done anything with a hopper in a while and your video nailed it for me. Handyman like me appreciate your depth and your video consistencies. Thanks much
Thanks Leah, I always enjoy your videos, and learn a lot. You previously did a video that explained how to use the spray cans of texture spray. For people who have a smaller area that needs to be repaired, the spray cans of texture work fine. I had a section of wall inside my garage that needed to be spray textured, and since I don't own an air compressor, I purchased a can of spray texture. I found that the video you made was the most helpful of all the RUclips videos I watched that discussed spray texturing. It took me about half a can or a third of the can to get good at it, and the end result was quite satisfactory.
Leah, you’re the best! I love all of your videos. I love the way you break it down for your viewers and the positivity you spread when you say “you can do this”. Thanks for sharing!
I HAVE THE SMALL PANCAKE COMPRESSOR YOU MENTIONED. Perfect for nail guns and that is why I bought it. I sure wouldn't expect to be able to continuously spray an entire wall or ceiling using my compressor BUT for small repairs, I believe the "PANCAKE" will suffice.
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. You're a great teacher! Clear and concise. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you so much. Every video I have watched of yours is very easy to follow and do because of the way you explain things. Very professional and clearly you know what you are doing. Thanks again and keep ‘em coming :)
Love your videos, thank you!! I found this awesome workaround for knockdown patches called ‘pirate patch.’ I am not the best at DIY and my knockdown patches looked horrible. It’s literally a knockdown stencil - shockingly easy. I haven’t painted over it yet, so far so good though. I hope it looks as good painted as it does now! We’ll see soon :) if not I’ll try your methods!! :))

This was a Great Video for a first timer. We are working on our Off Grid home in Alaska and just bought a texture gun. You explained everything great. Thank you!

I wish every instructional video had talent like this ... great teacher!
Very nice presentation! Very encouraging and insightful. Great tip on using a larger compressor with 2.4 CFM or larger.
Thank you for the information you provided it was extremely helpful and insightful. Tomorrow is will be my first time spraying texture at work.
Great Video Leah! As you were showing the different texture examples I noticed it almost exactly matched my wall that I am looking for. Thanks!
I can always count on Leah for professional knowledge.

You are one of the best step by step you tubers out there!! Thank you.
