Hi Nuredin, thanks for your comment, this anastomosis is indicated in many texts including my personal favourite Moore & Dalley, Clinically oriented anatomy. I am curious what source you are using that indicates there is no anastomosis between these vessels? (the dorsal scapular artery is also often referred to as the deep transverse cervical if that is causing any confusion)
sorry you are definitely right. some book [eg Netter`s atlas of human anatomy, 6th edition] depict that circumflex scapular artery anastomoses with dorsal scapular artery both at the body and apex of scapula and thoracodorsal artery directly descends to the latissmus dorsi . may be some anatomical variation.
