I like how once a person plays a single warframe long enough they start prioritizing things like mobility, casting speed and energy efficiency instead of trying to maximize damage. I've literally been playing parkour speed Mag for years now, wouldn't want it any other way.
The things you can do when you have the freedom to do so, eh ? The Archon shards were a huge boon to mod diversity in warframes and freed up space for QOL. We couldn't think about QOL before because we always had to sacrifice power for it, we don't have to do that anymore.
Every single build video is “I added velocity to x frame” when in reality not using waltz and just toggling the ability while bullet jumping is way better for Mesa
Mesa's Peacmaker still has a casting animation when using Mesa's Waltz. The amount of times I have shot my primary when waiting on my Regulators to pull up even with that augment mod is ridiculous.
I'll be honest, Mesa's Waltz is probably my least favourite augment of all time. Why? Because what made me fall in love with this frame, and what makes me still play her now, is a very small detail - when you're in peacemaker on mesa prime, she whirls around performing trickshots and acrobatics during the animation of each shot, and that gave the frame so much personality to me - but in waltz, you don't get that :( so I play my mesa stationary haha. I'll have to try some of the other stuff from this build, though!
I like to think that base mesa and waltz mesa are two sides of the same threatening coin. Base does all the fun trick shots and spins while waltz will menacingly walk down the corridor, laying down a barrage of bullets as she slowly walks towards you without ever giving you a chance to run or hide.
I LOVE to play Mesa without waltz, because I loved to bullet jump into the air, go into peacemaker, and rain hellfire like an AC130. The speed burst from Arcane Velocity making get go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttt is just positively bonerific
@@trinityhydra2687 Which you can very easily make work, by swapping it out for Umbral fibre, you do lose some HP pool, but you also gain some armour to help negate that.
@@XBullitt16X Correct but as Raskol pointed out, you don't really need this. You're much better off with the other changes that Broz mentioned. If you want more damage you should just put on umbral fiber instead. Gives you much greater EHP and an additional 22% strength.
I've used a similar build before and it's a huge quality of life change. Mesa is the frame that people will always keep pushing further and further to make her as good as she can get. Also give her the MIGHTY SEER for even better results
You know, I never thought of "Speed" as Something too important. But seeing how good that is during Waltz, I think im going to steal that on MY favorite frame with the exact Same "issue". My nyx will be zooming now!
Hey Brozime, thanks for mentioning Kavat's Grace. I never heard of the mod before, but it sounded really interesting. I had a very enjoyable experience going through the process of farming it: learning the mobs that dropped them, where they where, how to access the secret labs, which tiles had labs, where the orange boxes were, and the pattern of terminals to hit. It took me about 6 hours total, and I got the mod! Along the way I made a spreadsheet with everything I learned. It was super fun and immensely satisfying, and a really nice change of pace from normal Warframe for me. (I played solo with Nekros and just took my time).

I totally forgot Amalgam Barrel Diffusion is a thing. Even actual synergies aside, I love how snappy it is, the kinda thing I don't mind giving up just a bit of a stat for. This + 2 Augur mods are gonna be the staple for primer/utility secondaries for me, especially cause those already have multishot rivens a lot of the time anyway. Less than 1k endo to max it too, unlike that +sprint serration.
I hate being so far behind on archon shards and wish they were purchasable. I get a lot of play within a week or two, and then none for a month or two, so I miss so many of them and don't have the supply laying around to do stuff like this. :(
I found a way to counteract the hard fall without needing kavat’s Grace. And after seeing this video with use of the shards. It’ll complement the hard fall cancellation well. Upon making impact with the ground in peacemaker, try rolling. It cancels out the hard fall entirely and makes it almost seamless. But even more seamless with those shards😮😮
the one problem i have with mesa as a mesa main are that it's so inconsistant with what it shoots, like it can shoot some of your team mates pets, doesn't shoot some bosses doesn't shoot other, and even then sometimes it shoots them but because of where it does it doesn't do any damage. like bruh
As an avid Banshee and Mag player, I feel your pain. I wish they went over this, they can even cap the total multiplier Banshee can grant vs. enemies like Eidolons, to keep it balanced. I want EVERYTHING to work against EVERYTHING. Well... Okay, Grendel doesn't get to eat the Profit Taker, but you get what I mean. If it's too good, balance it so it's just right. They can roll this out gradually, frame by frame. (No pun intended)
I've only done parkour velocity on one frame, and while I did use a tau-forged, it was only one. I now have a goal to put at least 3 parkour shards on some of my favorite frames.
But why, though? Do you have issues with killing enemies on your mesa build? I'd argue that in most scenarios parkour speed is more of a DPS increase than full armor strip on mesa. It also makes her a viable frame for speedrunning captures and exterminates. Maybe not Titania levels, but still.

Mesa is kind of one of those warframes that, to me, is just wayyyy more fun to WATCH someone play, rather than play for myself. Her gameplay is simultaneously very active but very stale to me. It just doesn't *feel* nice. But watching brozime play mesa is just a good time to me.
Kind of wondering why you don't use rolling guard instead of adaptation since you are rolling around and can kill things when your protective proc is active and then you reset it by rolling again.

My Mesa build seems very different from most community builds. I barely ever use peacemakers. I've got high range and duration with like 140ish strength. I prioritized her 2 and put roar on her. Now I just walk through steel path jamming everyone's guns and making my strun prime incarnon a God slayer.😅
Been using praedos as speed statstick for a while now on all the frames but didnt think of mesa, guess i dont need her so much anymore but its nice to see smtg fresh
I've come to notice that movement is kinda mesa's Achilles heel and I can see how having it definitely benefits. When I start working on getting more archon shards I'll have to keep this in mind. Afterwards, I still kinda prefer my own Mesa setup, but I'll try this out if I get the chance to, seems fun.
You can melee while on mesa ult but remind that always have your primary or secondary in hand before using ult. I recomend you using the hespar with good build and atk speed
ive copied this build to a T except for lethal torrent which im getting right now. the only difference is the lack of archon shards and primed mods (of which i do have continuity) and i never realised how substantial that difference actually was. my energy economy is barely working and my peacemakers do nowhere near as much damage. im horrified to learn that 2 key aspects of my power level are stuck behind.. just waiting.
In Warframe terms, it's actually not that much of a wait. I've also grown used to timers because I've been playing the game for about three(ish) years now. Primed Continuity can be bought off the market (but good luck and god speed), and Archon Shard ideally only take 8-10 weeks to do (Two months). It's been three months since your comment here, so I just assume that you're close to finishing or have finished the build anyway.
Do Archon mods work on exalts like Peace Makers or Titania's guns? I thought they did but last time I played Titania it seemed to be only getting one heat proc instead of 2 (was hard to tell with fire rate and multishot)
honestly i think parkour speed isnt that necessary and parkour speed on mesa is nice but still limiting but heavily depends on tileset, i prefer just constantly going in and out of peacemakers and bullet jumping between.
Overwhelming attrition applies to crits (they can't proc it but they benefit from it). Even at 66% crit and 22% status you're a little over 25% of shots that proc overwhelming attrition which means the ramp time is very short, and you end up doing much more damage since 1200% on all shots + the crit mods scales much better than redundant elemental/damage mods + devouring attrition.
hmm...I dunno about Pillage in this build. Been trying it and comparing it to Roar and I think I like Roar better. Corrosive Projection + heat procs seem to do enough heavy lifting by themselves outside of absurd levels, and Roar is an easily settable always-on buff like her 2 and 3, whereas Pillage needs to be cast on enemies to do anything and can't be cast during Waltz. not to mention it's lower range than her 4 and the wave takes a while to actually reach its max range too, meaning you'll often be firing on targets the wave hasn't reached yet or can't reach. and since you can't really hit the 328% you need for full strip with this build it's kind of underwhelming anyway. of course, pillage scales better into very high level content where enemy armor starts getting absurd and you really need a strip, but until then it doesn't compare well IMO. Also I find that sometimes Energize is unnecessary, and in that case Avenger is another great damage amp for her. I might also recommend Arcane Guardian or a single blue armor shard to round out her armor stat; 125 is pretty low so there's a lot of DR on the table there. Also Equilibrium is a decent other option for Flow which makes dropping Energize for Avenger/Guardian/Augmented more palatable (when paired with Synth Fiber anyway).

Hey Brozime, something that confused me a bit about your regulators. You said we should use galv shot if we aren't using Arcane Velocity but you are using both cause personal preference correct? Also thank you for all your videos, they've been super helpful getting back into warframe.
Arcane Velocity givesattack speed, which Anemic Agility also does, so having both is not a great idea. So when using Arcane velocity, it's cool to change Anemic Agility with Galvanized shot.
Anyone know the fashion frame? I use a similar build (no umbra forma yet, might change it), but indeed the parkour velocity feels really good, and im only using praedos (too low on yellow archon shards, bc I find casting speed on certain frames useful too).
honestly replace velocity for augmented and waltz with like pwoer drift so you get the most strip possible also why have waltz if you know you can jsut roll or deactivate the 4 like it doesnt make sense
Try an Toxin Regulator Archon Continuity build (also with Pillage on subsume) + Muzzle Flash (for non Mesa's Waltz Aug users) or Rolling Guard (for Waltz users). Regulators go full Toxin with all Status, Pistol CO, and full firerate with anemic and gunslinger (don't slot +%damage and Crit comes from Archon Shards not mods!!!). In addition you need Arcane Velocity, Afentis, Furax (Wraith) + Furax Amalgam Mod and any fast firing secondary that can pop nulli's quickly (I use Pandero Prime secondary fire mode in conjucntion with Afentis buff). Playstyle Throw Afentis on the ground from where you want to shoot, pop 1(Pillage) -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 and go ham. If you use shields roll after 1 sec by that time pillage is done collecting and you'll be on full shields again + enemies have less defenses -> repeat. Tip: Don't leave Afentis Range unless you have too (because buff timer is paused while in it) and stay in your 4 as long as possible until afentis buff runs out. I mean sure this is a whole loadout with a fixed playstyle but its super fun, dynamic and shreds SP unlike regular Mesa builds.
@@noahedenborg4221 Its more damage then regular mesa builds. At least in my experience. Regular Mesa builds start strugling at SP while my archon toxin build goes up to at least lvl 600 SP without any additional Setup
I just put one of the bullet jump mods in the exilus slot - she's plenty fast at getting around then. Mesa's Waltz is a joke! I want her to stand still in Peacemaker so that she can take some damage and get some Hunter Adrenaline energy back as no other means of energy regeneration is anywhere near as consistent on her (and Hunter Adrenaline is still bad)
When falling or changing direction normally Warframes will have step orientation which will mean you get weird angles on dodges fairly often if you ignore the reset

With 187% duration shown in the vid the pulse will start at 3m and grow during 3.74 seconds to reach a radius of 77.8m Now try with 100% duration and 200% range, pulse will start at 16m and grow during 2 seconds to reach a radius of 56m😮 Which tells us that for Pillage, duration is more effective than range to increase the radius🤯
this isnt really relevant for a good portion of the game where u would play mesa, yes mesa is pretty solid for majority of content but for a fraction of those modes do u need movement speed. I rather not have the velocity and get something else since u that speed might only be that beneficial for exterminate or I guess any mode that requires u to kill targets on the move. Since switching/swapping shards isnt really a thing this works if u just want to be mesa on every mission but I think for people who switch frames from mission to mission or have options this isnt really worth doing.

That's not a cast time, it's lag/high ping, if you try it out on solo you won't have to deal with that

Then there's me who bullet jumps between bursts of peacemaker fire to move just as fast without using the mod slot.
honestly, they should give Waltz a QoL buff to play those animations while stationary and have it not take away hard landing immunity.

Rolling guard over any vitality. If you get proc’ed with anything you’ll think would take you down just dodge roll and it goes away.

you can cancel mesa 4 hard lands by pressing a direction and sliding anyway…
You can't slide while in peacemaker. You can roll, but you still can't shoot while rolling.

I've come to notice that movement is kinda mesa's Achilles heel and I can see how having it definitely benefits. When I start working on getting more archon shards I'll have to keep this in mind. Afterwards, I still kinda prefer my own Mesa setup, but I'll try this out if I get the chance to, seems fun.
You can melee while on mesa ult but remind that always have your primary or secondary in hand before using ult. I recomend you using the hespar with good build and atk speed
This way u can save 3 shards for just rolling

ive copied this build to a T except for lethal torrent which im getting right now. the only difference is the lack of archon shards and primed mods (of which i do have continuity) and i never realised how substantial that difference actually was. my energy economy is barely working and my peacemakers do nowhere near as much damage. im horrified to learn that 2 key aspects of my power level are stuck behind.. just waiting.
In Warframe terms, it's actually not that much of a wait. I've also grown used to timers because I've been playing the game for about three(ish) years now.
Primed Continuity can be bought off the market (but good luck and god speed), and Archon Shard ideally only take 8-10 weeks to do (Two months). It's been three months since your comment here, so I just assume that you're close to finishing or have finished the build anyway.
Do Archon mods work on exalts like Peace Makers or Titania's guns? I thought they did but last time I played Titania it seemed to be only getting one heat proc instead of 2 (was hard to tell with fire rate and multishot)

I put 4 regular parkor shards + 1 tau forged on Wukong to use for spy vaults... It is a bit of overkill.

honestly i think parkour speed isnt that necessary and parkour speed on mesa is nice but still limiting but heavily depends on tileset, i prefer just constantly going in and out of peacemakers and bullet jumping between.
Wouldn't Cascadia Flare on the Laetum proc from Regulators (same as on Titania), and thus be much better than Merciless ?

Overwhelming attrition applies to crits (they can't proc it but they benefit from it). Even at 66% crit and 22% status you're a little over 25% of shots that proc overwhelming attrition which means the ramp time is very short, and you end up doing much more damage since 1200% on all shots + the crit mods scales much better than redundant elemental/damage mods + devouring attrition.

hmm...I dunno about Pillage in this build. Been trying it and comparing it to Roar and I think I like Roar better. Corrosive Projection + heat procs seem to do enough heavy lifting by themselves outside of absurd levels, and Roar is an easily settable always-on buff like her 2 and 3, whereas Pillage needs to be cast on enemies to do anything and can't be cast during Waltz. not to mention it's lower range than her 4 and the wave takes a while to actually reach its max range too, meaning you'll often be firing on targets the wave hasn't reached yet or can't reach. and since you can't really hit the 328% you need for full strip with this build it's kind of underwhelming anyway. of course, pillage scales better into very high level content where enemy armor starts getting absurd and you really need a strip, but until then it doesn't compare well IMO.
Also I find that sometimes Energize is unnecessary, and in that case Avenger is another great damage amp for her. I might also recommend Arcane Guardian or a single blue armor shard to round out her armor stat; 125 is pretty low so there's a lot of DR on the table there. Also Equilibrium is a decent other option for Flow which makes dropping Energize for Avenger/Guardian/Augmented more palatable (when paired with Synth Fiber anyway).
This makes me want to grind the plat to buy mesa prime

Corrosive projection is better on the vast majority of builds
that depends does the 25 strength or 18 armor strip out way like for example pillage takes 400 strength to full strip in 1 cast with cp ypu noly need 328 strength see where im going with it

Hey Brozime, something that confused me a bit about your regulators. You said we should use galv shot if we aren't using Arcane Velocity but you are using both cause personal preference correct? Also thank you for all your videos, they've been super helpful getting back into warframe.
Arcane Velocity givesattack speed, which Anemic Agility also does, so having both is not a great idea. So when using Arcane velocity, it's cool to change Anemic Agility with Galvanized shot.
Anyone know the fashion frame? I use a similar build (no umbra forma yet, might change it), but indeed the parkour velocity feels really good, and im only using praedos (too low on yellow archon shards, bc I find casting speed on certain frames useful too).
honestly replace velocity for augmented and waltz with like pwoer drift so you get the most strip possible also why have waltz if you know you can jsut roll or deactivate the 4 like it doesnt make sense

Try an Toxin Regulator Archon Continuity build (also with Pillage on subsume) + Muzzle Flash (for non Mesa's Waltz Aug users) or Rolling Guard (for Waltz users). Regulators go full Toxin with all Status, Pistol CO, and full firerate with anemic and gunslinger (don't slot +%damage and Crit comes from Archon Shards not mods!!!). In addition you need Arcane Velocity, Afentis, Furax (Wraith) + Furax Amalgam Mod and any fast firing secondary that can pop nulli's quickly (I use Pandero Prime secondary fire mode in conjucntion with Afentis buff). Playstyle Throw Afentis on the ground from where you want to shoot, pop 1(Pillage) -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 and go ham. If you use shields roll after 1 sec by that time pillage is done collecting and you'll be on full shields again + enemies have less defenses -> repeat.
Tip: Don't leave Afentis Range unless you have too (because buff timer is paused while in it) and stay in your 4 as long as possible until afentis buff runs out.
I mean sure this is a whole loadout with a fixed playstyle but its super fun, dynamic and shreds SP unlike regular Mesa builds.

no dont try archon continuity jsut have 2 seperate pistol builds of raw toxin and corrosive its not worth it your lossing quite a lot of dmg
@@noahedenborg4221 Its more damage then regular mesa builds. At least in my experience. Regular Mesa builds start strugling at SP while my archon toxin build goes up to at least lvl 600 SP without any additional Setup

I just put one of the bullet jump mods in the exilus slot - she's plenty fast at getting around then. Mesa's Waltz is a joke! I want her to stand still in Peacemaker so that she can take some damage and get some Hunter Adrenaline energy back as no other means of energy regeneration is anywhere near as consistent on her (and Hunter Adrenaline is still bad)

When falling or changing direction normally Warframes will have step orientation which will mean you get weird angles on dodges fairly often if you ignore the reset

Which tells us that for Pillage, duration is more effective than range to increase the radius🤯

this isnt really relevant for a good portion of the game where u would play mesa, yes mesa is pretty solid for majority of content but for a fraction of those modes do u need movement speed. I rather not have the velocity and get something else since u that speed might only be that beneficial for exterminate or I guess any mode that requires u to kill targets on the move. Since switching/swapping shards isnt really a thing this works if u just want to be mesa on every mission but I think for people who switch frames from mission to mission or have options this isnt really worth doing.
