@@SteveToccoDrummer it's actually a breathe of fresh air to see someone not play a drum cover "note per note". I think this puts too much pressure on us drummers from uploading videos. I believe it's best to have our own interpretation of every song. Play what you think is necessary while putting your own touch on parts that can be changed.

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. My recording set up is very simple. I mic the drums with a variety of old microphones that go into a Yamaha MG16/6FX mixer. I send the mixed audio directly into a Zoom Q4 camera. I do not use a digital audio workstation nor do I do any video editing. I don’t use any audio processing either-no compression, no external reverb or effects. Everything is recorded directly to the camera. It’s very simple and easy. Somehow I seem to get a good sound from my recordings. I hope this helps. Thank you again!!

The hi-hats in this video are a pair of old, Zildjian 14" New Beats. They were the first "real' cymbals I ever bought.....way back in 1980. Gracias, amigo!!

Notice at 1:01. Snare drums can be heard in the audio but he didn’t hit the drum. You can also hear it on 1:26 and 2:01.
You're right, I see at least one musician ear is here. It takes a musician's ear to notice there's a drum set playing on top of the other.
