Steve: I bumped into your video by accident researching the song. This is an amazing cover. You have the timing of an atomic clock and the artistry/nuance to have truly captured the percussive essence of the song. This is an amazing job--bravo!!!
I've always been curious about the drumming on this track for years. How in the world did Nigel Olsson get that sort of slightly off kilter sound to his drums...reverb or something...?
Definitely reverb...not sure which type or what else they did to the drums other than have very loose heads on them. Gus Dudgeon also apparently used a lot of mics on the drums
