- Testing out the new Dunlop q4 sportmax track day tire at Jennings GP and we are absolutely in love! Heather and I still street ride from time to time so we want the best track day tire out there that is still legal on the street as well and the Dunlop q5 nails it! I believe in my own personal opinion the Dunlop q5s would be better suited for someone who rides the street more often but can still do a track day on the tire. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!

I have ridden the Dunlop Q3, Q3+, Q4, and now the Q5, and I can honestly say they keep getting better! Every time they update the tire it truly gets grippier and seems to last a tad bit longer.

Wow, I came looking for a Q3+ vs Q5 comparison. Just wanted to say your video taught me how to wheelie many years ago back in the early days of moto youtube lol. I think it was a blue/yellow GSXR 600 or 750 you had at the time and I always loved the way it looked. you guys and the other channels around back then are what got me into motorcycles. Good to see you're both still riding!

Just spun 1:57 avg over 28 laps @ Pitt Race yesterday. 4/22/23. On an R1M.
Damp conditions. I’m a Metzler slick and a Michelin Cup II guy. Never rode Dunlop. Super happy with the results. Super stable tire.
34 front 27.5 rear off warmers.

In just installed the q5s on my Duke, since I ride it on the street a little bit but still excited to see how it performs
That’s a much better choice if you’re riding mostly street, the Q5s should last much longer in the center. Happy riding bro!

I smoked the shit of Q5. It lasted me 500 miles. Once get over heated it will start bouncing on the corner if you push hard. Not getting Q5. Supercorsa V3 all the way.

Does Dunlop recommend flipping the rear on the Q5 like they did with the Q4? I can’t find any info on it. I want to flip my Q5S after running a track day at Thunderhill the left side is worn down a lot with some slight shelving. Just wondering if you spoke to the Dunlop Track Tire guy before doing it?
What are the differences between 5 and 5s ??
Ok so the Q5 is a replacement for the Q4 (track day tire) and the Q5s is a replacement for the Q3+ (street tire) they can both be used on the street and track but the Q5 is more track oriented, softer and stickier, the Q5s is more street oriented and will last longer in the center and has much more siping for water displacement. Only been riding last couple years. No tracks near me, lots of commuting etc but still enjoy more aggressive riding on street,
Looking at the q5s to throw on bike (Zx6r) any insight as to how they compare to say my old tires , the s22’s?
Seem to be new enough that besides paid professional reviews, don’t seem much consumer reviews around yet
The tires are brand new so a lot of places can’t get them just yet. The Q5s is the way to go for aggressive street riding, it’ll last you longer than the Q5 will in the center
what u think of the supercorsa v3 sp ?? have the same bike don't know what to pick (street and track)
I’ve heard great things about them as well, I’m a big believer in the Q series from dunlop, don’t have much experience on the v3 personally
Hey how did the rears hold up after u flipped it?, I didn't kno u could flip the q5s
28/29 seems pretty high in the rear. I was told 24 in the rear on track for my s21
Different tires are going to be different, when they tested the Q4 the pros recommended 32/30 cold so I did about the same with the Q5 and it performed great

These honestly dont do too great. I was running mid advanced group pace and these things just dont do well for me and I dont even think Im fast. Under barely any load they just want to let go and that was after playing with tire pressures all day.
You would get better footage if you put a clear windshield on
