  • Todays video is a brief review/Buyer Beware of the Michelin Endurance XT silicon wiper blade. After Living with them for 6 months I would highly suggest not buying these silicone blades. they are Screechy, noisy, and streaky. I can't believe Michelin even put their name on them.
    Thanks to www.bensound.com/ for the background music.

    They have there own rain X type solution. When you first get them you have to run them dry for 3 to 5 minutes on medium speed to activate the solution after you clean your windshield first. I just bought them. So I'm going to see if I have the same problem. I got tired of changing my blades every year. They fell apart from heat. These are suppose to withstand up to 195F degrees and give you 2 million wipes.

      @Hewhoremains Yes, Michelin Endurance XT Advanced Silicone Wiper Blade. They're still going strong as of today.

    • @daisy7141
      @daisy7141 Год назад

      @Hewhoremains It's been so long, I don't remember if that was on the package. Be sure to clean your windshield good before you run the dry operation. From Michelin: We recommend installation includes a clean windshield as well as a break-in procedure. The instructions state to run the new wipers on a dry windshield for at least five minutes to break them in.

      @Hewhoremains They must have a good reason to say 2 minutes. I don't use RainX. It rarely rains here. My Micheline blades don't squeak either. Let us know if they ever squeak.

    Just searched these blades after realizing I've had them for almost 3 years through all weather extremes with no issues and barely any wear, looks like they've turned into the 'fahrenheits" now. Use rain-x every couple months and they'll last forever.

    Interesting - I've been running the Michelin Silicone blades for about a month and I haven't had but as much noise with them as the Trico's were making for you. They were the fifth set of blades I had bought in a month because for whatever reason I couldn't seem to find any that wouldn't chatter, and the Michelin's don't. I'm curious to see what they are like after another long while.

    Thank you for the video. Someone in the comments is saying to run them dry on medium for 5 minutes after washing your windshield to activate the rainx. I'm going to give that a try. If they make even a peep, I'm going to take them back. I can't take that noise, for some reason noises trigger me like nails on a chalkboard and I can't function, lol not sure why I think I must have some kind of noise disorder lol. I love silent blades. Good luck in your endeavors!

    I just bought these and they don’t make any noise and are working great in the winter also. I recommend to buy them and I review all parts before purchasing. They also state to not to use them while your car has debris or is dirty maybe you should have cleaned the car before use and read the directions!

      “Not to use them while your car has debris or is dirty”
      Never heard or saw that in other wiper blades, just makes no sense. Of course your car will be dirty, who in the right mind would clean their windshield in the rain just so they can use it in the rain?!

  • @Alkatraz415
    @Alkatraz415 10 месяцев назад

    Mine work great. I have always put new blades on every fall. I clean my windshield and wipe my blades off every time I fill up. These blades will streak sometimes but it is because stuff can build up on these blades, like any other blades. Once I wipe them off with one of the blue towels at the gas station they are back to normal. Also, different coatings in the windshield can cause an effect with wiper blades. Car washes with their protective coating will commonly cause wiper blades to function worse.

    Hmmm, interesting observations. I just bought / installed a pair of these very same Michelin Endurance XTs and they're working great! It is the first time I try silicone type wipers (20" on a mid '90s Buick).
    No sound at all … and my windshield is not exactly the cleanest on the road. Smooth, quiet and clean / very clean function across the full glass wipe. No complaints whatsoever. (>_~)
    Very happy with this product. Long durability will be checked but likely to buy again.

    I have a 2019 Rav4 using the Michelin Endurance XT silicon and at 2 months old, my blades are streaking and chattering. I just installed the same style of blades on a 2019 Silverado truck two weeks ago. The first time I used them in the rain, the blades smear! At night time in the rain, I had a very difficult time seeing while driving due to the smearing in my line of vision. I can't believe how crappy the Endurance XT blades are for being new! These blades are worse than the old ones I tool off the truck. Unbelievable!!!! Do not buy! Sadly, I bought 3 sets of blades at $21.xx bucks plus tax per blade! Talk about getting hosed!

    I bought these and regret it. I suspect the wiper parts are not really silicone. They advertise them as having "silicone beam technology" but that simply means the beam part has silicone, not necessarily the wiper part. I noticed that the wiper has graphite in it.

    Have you given your windshield a deep cleaning try a magic eraser on it

    • @4KMotoring

      A clay bar treatment would be about all I would recommend for a windshield. A magic eraser is a very fine abrasive that can ruin a windshield.

    The XF wipers will not stay on J hook. Calledall Michelin they said I didn't pull them ontothe j hook with enough Force. Work that AutoZone I must have put on 500 wiper blades in my career never had a wiper as bad as this you're afraid to use it it might come off as you're driving and scratch your windshield. Call them and try to explain but they didn't want to hear a thing it's your fault you can't pull it hard enough so they were set in j hook and they don't want to hear a thing call them twice going to try to get my money back. Do not buy!
