Just as a side note, the reason a music nib writes well in an upright position is not because it somehow helps you draw the shapes for musical notation, but because you need to be able to write music while the paper is standing upright in front of you on a sheet music stand or piano as you're composing.
This is a very interesting comment. Thank you. Not that I'm a musician, mind you, but the capability of this feature might also apply to a number of other situations which I can easily think of. Much appreciation!
This is the kind of information I want to stumble upon.
Thanks to you and Main Man Murry for letting us see the pen. It is a beauty and whimsical at the same time. Love the color. I do not think it is over priced. I suspect, though it would be a bit lower if not for the “Pen Family” relationship. I sure hope Mr. Cypress continues to market via their own site also.
Murray is one generous dude! Thanks for the review.
I think " Purple Daisy " can also be a fitting name 😁😁
Gorgeous!! I absolutely see the value in it. It is worth the money. It's a work of art! I would love to get one. Great review, as always. thank you for exposing me to yet another wonderful pen and brand.
My first thought was 'purple field of flowers,' but I like the name. Impressed by its designandexecution, though it's not for me.
Titanium is expensive in it’s own right.
Stunning looking pen. Beautiful nib.
Are they available on other pens 🖊️ that you have reviewed?
I am aghast. Perhaps it would work better in brown (Sbre) with that texture like a stick.
High value as a conversation piece.
Only Medium or Music nibs? Does sound like pens made for collectors, and not users.
That pen is a fantastic piece of art. I don't know that it would be a comfortable writer, though. But I loved looking at it in your review.
Nice looking pen, good review, but not my style or in my price range for that matter. One thing that would concern me is the irregular surfaced grip section. I don't believe that I would be able to put up with that because it would transfer to my hand and that would be annoying for me personally. Sensitivity handicapped.
Arrgh! The price is too high. The pen itself is highly interesting. Love titanium pens, owning three and that a company has made a titanium pen with a wonderful design.
Great ret Steven.
You said "the nib sings".. And that it was a music nib.. 😊
I didn't know Mr. Cypress was associated with The Pen Family. Very cool.
Side note: I was also abysmal at playing the recorder, to the point where I simply pretended to blow in it and copied finger movements from my peers... :)
I COLLECT WATCHES AND PENS I HAVE A TISSOT TITANIUM WATCH AND TITANIUM IS VERY HARD TO WORK WITH EXPENSIVE C&C MACHINES ARE NEEDED. TITANIUM IS HARDER THAN STEEL MUCH LIGHTER AND ITS HYPOALLERGENIC
I own 4 Mr.Cypress Pens ... and i absolutely love them. And i think they are great Value. If those same pens where made by an European, american or Japanese company they would surely cost about 1,5 to double of what you pay with mr.cypress. Another thing is, that they do not just make Metal pens ... they have ebonite pens, wood pens, lots of raden work, eggshell work and makie ...
Great video but not for me. For the same money I can purchase a Yard-O-Led Viceroy in sterling silver.
