this manga is so good that theory's like this can be entirely plausible and have amazing writing decisions behind the theory and then still be an entirely different outcome with equally as good writing😂 the man marked by flames ship bein made from the burned tree would be so poetic
What if the whirlpools are explained by, “The Man Marked By Flames” being a good navigator and sails only where there’s whirlpools for protection and intimidation.
FBI OPEN UP ... I got called to check on three guys doing yayo and writing theories, but there's only one here and he's talking with himself. Not my job, we need an expert here.
While not impossible its a but boring for a world filled with powers and this also limits his locations. I think a good navigator being able to navigate around the whirlpools is a good counter to his power
Finally, a genuinely good and well put together One Piece theory video that has a point and arguments and doesn't sidetrack to fill up time or mention irrelevant details like chapter numbers as evidence.
I really like the Den theory. Another incredible theory!! One thing is that Fishman Island is 10,000 meters below the sea level - anyone drowning would get crushed long before they reach the bottom. HOWEVER, if Den is a OCEAN RESEARCHER then it would make sense for him to be near the surface of the sea level. He could’ve been on his way to Ohara for one reason or another before the Buster Call and then later just close enough to the surface to save as many evacuees as possible. From there, I think him using the wood to create the ship and help them retrieve the Road Poneglyph makes sense, even sending some fishmen to collect it (Wadatsumi was carrying a poneglyph in the Jimbei cover story so some definitely have the required strength and otherwise a team could do it too probably).
Wow I wish I thought of this, the idea of how impossible it would be for someone to survive sinking all the way to fishmen island crossed my mind but I just chalked it up to its One Piece anything can happen lol. Who knows maybe the MMBF is a fishmen and thats how he survived sinking to the sea forest? But I like your idea way more, like you said maybe Den frequently reported back to Ohara to record any discoveries he learned from the Sea forest and just happen to be coming when the incident happened.
I thought your analysis was pretty well thought out. I never would’ve considered Clover having a son and the connection with the Fishmen. Your breakdown was fluid and reminiscent of Mr Morj and Ohara’s style. Nicely done! 👍
Great video man, take as much time as you need on the next one. Most big theory channels end up posting a bunch of theories every week that make no sense
Brother , absolutely fantastic content , only a few videos in and the hardwork, time and love behind these video is very recognized. Patiently waiting for the next💪🏽💯
I never thought about this! That's an interesting theory. My line of thinking right now is Hanafuda being the "Man marked by Flames." Law's reaction is the only thing I can't really explain. Robin making a note of Law's reaction tells us that Law knows something that will be revealed later on.
This is Really well thought out .I notice that most other theories on who the burn scar man don't fit all the clues we have, but this is really well rounded
At one point I asked myself "what would be the funniest ior most emotionally impactful dentity of the Man Marked By Flames?" And came to the conclusion of Arlong. But it probably makes more sense if they are two separate people working together.
This is actually so smart, I like to think that the man marked by flames is Clover and Nami out manoeuvring the tidal waves + Robin being there will be the key and he’ll “omfg is that robin” and she’ll go “yes but who are you” and then the reveal will happen and she’ll be like “CLOVER-SAN?!!? 😭😭”
Be crazy if the man marked by flames is from the void century somehow. And has ways to go deep in the ocean to look at the ruins of the old world. But the ohara theory sounds even better.
I still think the best option if the government has the fourth road poneglyph was to make it known that they have it and have it constantly moving. If they didn't pirates might start attacking Mariejoa just to try to find it. And I don't think they want that. So the Man Marked by Flames would fit this idea constantly holding it but taking the heat away from Mariejoa.
The only thing that doesn't jive with me about him working for the Government is, who IS he in the greater World Government scheme? A CP-0 agent? A Holy Knight? A hidden servant of Imu? Or just someone who got Shanghaied into their service?
Nice cooking there. I too put my tinfoil hat and started looking in the internet for more stuff lol and found this: >Yakisugi, also known as shou sugi ban, is a Japanese wood burning technique that involves charring wood to create a blackened, durable surface. And what if the ship is called the Black Seraphim like the Black Pearl but because the incident of Ohara is like the burning of the library of Alexandria, and there was like a daughter or something of this place called the Serapeum of Alexandria.
I was going to include the process of charring ships in the video but decided against it, I think Daks Sake mentions it in his MMBF video, but you got great connections!!
I am starting to think that the man marked by flames might be Crocus, here are my reasons 1. The black ship could actually be Laboon. 2. Laboon could definitely cause whirlpools and make people disappear into his belly 3. He was with Gold Roger. 4. We haven't seen his torso. Maybe something involving flames happened to him. 5. It's probably a character we've already been introduced to because we're not allowed to know the name. 6. As they get closer to the final Island, they also get closer to Crocus because of how the grand line works. 7. Brook still needs to meet Laboon, this allows him to do that soon. 8. Crocus was early enough in One Piece to where he would have fit in with the 5 year goal Oda had of finishing One Piece. 8.
I think the man with the burn scar should be a Roger's crew member in the Oro Jackson, but it is a possibility that he could also navigate with Clover as a companion. In addition, Den being Clover's son makes a lot of sense, and I can't believe no one could see that before. Great theory! You should have more subscribers!!
the only reason I don't think it was someone from ohara is because of the revolutionary army being friends with the people from ohara, so they would probably entrust it to them
Nice video! I just was going to mention that the general public THINK they know the significance of the Road Poneglyphs, as it has been specifically forbidden to research them, with the excuse being that they detail where the ancient weapons are. Which to be fair is true.
This was a great theory. However, i would like to add another candidate for the man Marked by flames. Clovers Brother. He is a D. from ohara and fits perfectly with the part about building a ship from the remains of tree of knowledge, to Honor his Lost Home, and Dan would Help family more eagerly.
Another crazy good video!! You always introduce some amazing ideas that I’ve never heard anyone else come up with. You’ve got a gift (please don’t spoil the One Piece before it drops 😂)
nah, it isn't a mystery. it is Aces right hand man Masked deuce. he fits more than anyone else. the description, the why and the how. people tend to forget one of the red ponyglyphs used to be at fishmen island. whose territory was fishmen island? whitebeards. Ace and his crew joined whitebeards crew. probably at some point before the marineford war. whitebeard asked MD to protect the ponyglyph in the event him and or Ace died. for the rest Read the side story manga. one piece aces story. which is 4-6 chapters long. is canon and gives some significant details. such as them charring the wood to make the ship more durable (charring would make it black) and whirlpools being around the island Ace meets MD (whirlpools are around the ship of this mystery man) and MD has Aces flames because they were stored in a dial (it wouldn't surprise me at all if he burned himself) it would be jarring if it were anyone else. with how many points fit perfectly.
Except how would he have been "marked by flames?" Because as much I'd love to see Luffy meet Ace's former vice-captain, I can't quite grasp how he'd end up with burn scars aside from Ace himself, who would never even think of doing such a thing.
I think Law might've learned of the Man Marked by Flames during the Rocky Port Incident. He did make an alliance with Blackbeard during the incident, who knew about it by that point.
I think he's gonna show up in the story but not in that way. With the way hinokizu is being portrayed it sounds like they might be a former rocks or other older era pirate working under the government (not as a marine, but something more akin to a warlord where they just have to do their duties and they get their freedom in return)
Scopper Gabban makes a lot of sense only if he knew the World Government or someone was planning on taking the fishmen island poneglyph and then intervened and took it himself, because theres been a pattern of the Roger pirates not going out of their way to help in any way with examples of Rayleigh and Crocus, and Vegapunk even says it in his message that if the Roger pirates know the truth "why arent they doing anything?". So if its Scopper theres gotta be a reason on why he intervened imo
I like this and my crackpot theory closely involves the graveyard of ships too. I think the MMBF is actually not a man but a Klabautermann specifically Joyboys Kmann who felt it was time and manifested to keep the poneglyph safe just like robo and zunesha become active or more cognitive when it was time
I want to believe its Rocks D Xebec. Xebec is a type of ship and its arabic for 'a net'. The man's taken down other ships via whirlpools so who knows if that's accurate in this case. How Xebec is even alive now is another mystery. The silhouette in the Blackbeard crew ghost-story discussion also has the right amount of sails the Xebec ships would have (3 high, 2 main tall masts, 1 long pointy bowspirit at the front) but the rest is hard to make out from the silhouette.
This is a really interesting theory although I still believe that the man marked by flames is actually Dragon. At least from what we know Dragon is a likely candidate. And I think Dragon and Whitebeard must've known each other, remember how whitebeard reacted when he found out luffy is dragon's son? He smiled and told Marco that they can't let luffy die. That maybe implies that whitebeard and dragon must've at least respected each other which makes the situation of Dragon and the revolutionaries taking the road poneglyph from fishmen's island with whitebeard's permission possible, especially when we know that whitebeard wasn't after the One Piece he only wanted a family And we know Dragon can basically teleport himself and whatever and whoever he's touching instantly to wherever he wants.
I'm hoping it's Rocks. It'll be the perfect way to implement him into the story. As a gate keeper. Roger's rival being the final test before crowning the next Pirate King.
