- Purchased compost bins are expensive and usually small, wood bins are easy to make out of scrap but eventually become compost themselves. Saw one of these livestock panels at a ranch store and saw a potential bin in it. Unfortunately the pandemic caused these panels to nearly double in price. With things settling down somewhat, the price became a little easier to justify and we built this compost bin. Faster to build than a wooden one we already had made, nearly invisible until filled up, should last for many years. Always fun to find a useful repurpose of a material. Thank You for watching and Thank You for subscribing. Keep coming back for more projects and our house is under serious construction as the piers are complete and we are adding a wood timber frame that will support the floor system.
Faster then the cut it. Bend loops method.I just clamped it between 2 2x4s where I wanted my bend at. Clamped that to my steel work table. Used it like a sheet metal break . Used the panel as leverage. Fast dirty but worked.
Original plan was to bend but wire appeared to exceed my strength. Thanks for watching.!
Just about the time I was thinking I bet Steve wishes he had a longer lever you break out with the vice grips😂
You are right Lance! Pretty “short” sighted of me. That panel wire it tougher than I thought it would be. Thanks for watching!!
