If they're very similar to Mizuno in some very specific ways, they should be an excellent ring shoe... and by excellent, I mean they actually improve your boxing as everything starts from the feet up. Even if you're an elite professional with flawless form, these shoes will cut down on your energy expenditure due to the weight, how they fit the foot perfectly with a curved and contoured sole that makes getting on the balls of your feet easy. You should notice improvements in power and more efficient and effective footwork. The soles wear quickly... especially on non canvas/matted floors.
What I like about Winning gloves is that in the 14-16oz range, they're perfect sparring gloves. They are protective to both the user and opponent while still offering feedback without pain, are extremely durable with great longevity, and their quality control is unrivaled by anyone.
Their pro fight gloves allowed me to go into fights with the full confidence to throw completely unbridled power into my punches without fear of hand inju
injury. With each new iteration, the gloves transfer more power while still remaining very protective for the user. The pro fight gloves require virtually no break in period... which no other foam/non horse hair glove offers.
The training gloves (MS-200B and MS-300B) are more protective than the fight gloves, but with a little breaking in, you couldn't ask for a better glove. They will last you years to come as long as they're receiving basic maintenance.
I have no doubt that Winning shoes won't be long lasting like the gloves. But when used appropriately, you should no trouble getting at least one year out of them. The performance is worth it. There's not a shoe on the market that even compares to Mizuno/Winning/formerly Asics (which are now wrestling shoes only and wrestling shoes make awful boxing shoes. They have wayyyy too much grip, no cushion=no comfort for fights going between 6-12 rounds, I tried the Asics 1083a001 (marketed by many except Asics as a "boxing wrestling shoe"... it's not.

Will you try out the Nike Inflict? A lot of people use them for boxing and they also have the olympic colorway.

i should add that Adams boots are really nothing like Mizuno in terms of performance. Also either Mizuno makes Winning boots or vice versa or an unknown entity in Japan makes both. I believe the same was true of Asics boxing boots before they were discontinued. Another possibility is that one of these entities lays out the foundation for the boot (with the exception of Winning potentially because despite their history of making boxing boots, they haven't done so in quite awhile) and then the shoe companies add their own touches to them (ie materials, some design, etc). I could be completely wrong though. Fuego boots feel nothing like Mizuno... nor do they look alike.

Ive got a genuine question: How can you rate the durability is you haven't tested it long term?

    • @Fit2Box
      @Fit2Box  3 месяца назад

      Well ….with these particular boots
I can see from materials used
      Build quality
Also how close they are to mizuno and I have seen first hand how mizuno last
So durability is always an educated prediction really
Also I do treat my gear very well
I constantly see people treating their gear badly so obviously their boots won’t last as long as boots that are looked after
Over the years I have seen hundreds of pairs of boots
My own and also many many other boxers boots at the boxing gym
So I have a very informed opinion on how long gear it likely to last when it comes to boots and all boxing gear actually

Winning gloves I would pay retail for but these boots are too generic and that sole will wear out fast.

If you have the right type of foot and order the perfect size, Mizuno boots will actually make noticeable improvements in almost all areas of boxing (bold claim, I know). I know Winning doesn't make these. You may prefer the looks of Nike better, but Nike's performance is awful compared to Mizuno. In Japan, Mizuno's cost about 200usd. After I tried Mizuno, everything else feels HORRIBLE and Mizuno is all I can use.

Paying 500 USD for boots like this is crazy. Only for Winning fanboys. Very outdated look and generic look. They look like some granpa slippers.
