This was a simple first flight of the Reptile Dragon with the newly fitted Caddx Nebula Pro Vista kit. I could have flown for longer as I had a lot left in the battery. But a TINY BUG splatted on the flight camera rendering the view useless and FORCING ME TO LAND and clean the lens.

Man 🤔 I didn't know what to expect.. Lol Out of all the years I've flown, that has only happened to me once. And actually the 🐛 got hit by the prop and 🐛 🐞 juice went everywhere! And mainly covering the camera lense. Lol 😆
Same here, never has a bug splatted on my camera lens till this flight.
I wasn't exactly flying super fast, so must have been one weak ass bug haha 🐞

Yes it's Wisley. There are some restrictions but if flying safely and respectfully, the security guards tend to leave you alone

I don't know how bad yours is? But I crashed my V1 hard too into a concrete runway (admittedly I had laminated mine first) but it glued up pretty well. Not pretty, but straight & true. The canopy still fits. All it took were dress pins & UHU Por & a little time. I didn't need to straighten the foam out on mine, but if you do, hot water and firm squeeze to help it usually works. Give it a try, all you have to loose is a bit of glue!
Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, I had already modified my V1 front end, so it wasn't as structurally strong as it would have been if unmodified. I'd already weakened the front end by cutting the gap between the 2x hatches and gluing them together to make a single long hatch.
I had also cut a portion of the nose away in order to install the FPV camera.
The crash was pretty much directly nose in. The wings and tail are perfectly fine. I've kept hold of those, they're in the shed just in case I can find a replacement V1 fuselage.
Some foam was lost though, it got blown away and I was concentrating on finding my GoPro, so there's no way I could repair the fuselage.

@@grim-upnorth Sorry to hear that. The V2 seems better, though a lot more money. I picked my V1 kit & a S1100 for £99 delivered from Bangbollox sale. Sadly the new V2 is more than on its own.
@@blackbirdboy1 Yes I immediately went on to see if I could buy a V1, just for the fuselage... the wings being already built up of course. But nothing. So tried the V2 and straight away noped that due to price. Instead I'm trying to get a LTE Rambler PNP
@@grim-upnorth I have a Rambler. From what I've seen, they have brought out a twin. Matt Ogborne has one. Looks like they have used the nose off the Rambler. Front looks almost identical. He said it was cheap, so maybe worth a look.
