Teams listen to offers, even if they don’t plan on trading. He’s making himself look bad. He’s not god gift to receivers. I love BA, I do, but he’s taking this extremely personal. When you have a team that’s in the conversation every year you can’t just pay players more than what they’re worth, it’s June, he needs to chill. I understand he worked hard to get where he is, very very hard, so I understand why he would take this personally. Getting paid a couple more million a year possibly but having to play on a crap team vs going to the superbowl or knowing you have a chance to play for a championship, and get a couple less million a year.

The Aiyuk situation has been much less toxic than when Deebo went through his contract negotiations and demanded a trade. Bosa’s situation also seemed much tougher. This one will get done. It just takes deadline pressure.

Really, ok so Brandon Aiyuk was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. He signed a 5 year rookie contract and now 2024 he going into this 4 year right? So he only got two more years on his contract.

No this propaganda so the 49ers don't look like Jerry Jones and Dallas Cowboys. However, because of the salary cap they have to let go of certain players but they don't want to look like the bad guy. Don't worry someone will want Brandon Aiyuk he is a great player.
I'm thinking that the 49ers were not trying to . They did say they would listen. Everyone could be traded. , But are not calling out to teams, Everyone listens. Doesn't mean they are going to do it.
You have to remember that Kyle doesn't believe rookie WRs are ready to contribute in a significant role. Trading BA away before the draft to get another WR wouldn't make sense to Kyle.
I think their ask would be much higher now than it was before the draft because they can't just draft someone with a high pick they get in return, so if Washington's offer wasn't enough before the draft, it's unlikely they or anyone else would offer more now.
Why is this even an issue he is NOT owed a new contract yet. He signed his rookie deal knowing full well what he would get paid if his 5th year option was picked up.
Does Brandon think he doesn't have to honor the deal he signed?

I'm so glad you brought up the 94 Niners because I said the same thing going into this off-season and I agree with you 100% but when you mention " To get past the Cheifs " shouldn't be the primary goal.
I know what you meant by that statement but I really think after the regular season, last year, our primary focus should be getting out of the NFC. It's safe to say that our division and the Lion, Eagles, Packers, and even Falcons ( don't sleep on them ) are on our heels. And we'd be crazy to not think that the Rams and Seahawks aren't lacking their chops. I can honestly say that this will be a great year for the NFL and fans all around. Either way I'm here for my Niners !!!

No it not that you got backward they can't afford to keep him. You just signed Christian McCaffrey. But there is a whole bunch of other players that you have to pay and they cannot afford to keep him. He is a great player but they must sacrifice. The Dallas Cowboys are going through the same process.
You are going see a lot top players that other teams are going have let go because they can't afford to keep them. You saw what happen to Russell Wilson, Jerry Judy and others. Normally, those players would never be let go.

Paying 1 wide reciever 10% of your salary cap is absolutely stupid... especially given how many WRs their have been recently. The last 3 drafts combined there were 12 WRs teams thought were good enough to draft in the 1st round... damn near half the league. Overpaying a position that also is "easy" to find is oppositie of how this should work. WR is also the most dependant position in the league. Need both a good offensive line and good QB to be effective. Let other teams pay WRs $30+ mil. I'd rather have a killer defense and good O-line... Purdy has another year like last year hes going to get major paid... not to mention if he won a superbowl with the 9ers...

It's about what he values. Does he value only money? Does he want to balance money with winning? Does he value money so much he's willing to have a worse career by signing with a team who can afford him because they're not paying a good QB? Only Brandon knows the answer.

Let me translate that for you David. What he means by that statement is that the 49ers told him that trade talks are not off the table. If a good offer comes in they will trade him just like they would and have anyone else. In other words, they told him, when it comes to the overall picture as a whole organization past, present and future, he ain't nothing. So what BA is saying is that he didn't expect them to respond like that.
