    Unbelievable amount of $$$ these players are receiving to play 🏈 BALL. I don’t think most of us fans can relate to that kind of money. Its hard for me to afford a ticket once a year in the nosebleed section. Thank you David. Appreciate your efforts and analysis. GO 49ers. Blessings to all.

Do you hear yourself at all. Use logic...a majority of these athletes come from piss poor environments. You have to look at the scale of things, not just the $$$$. There’s only roughly 64-70 STARTING WRs in the entire world. With a population nearing 8 billion people globally, he’s only 1 of 64 or so. The math is 0.000000008%
      If you’re talented enough to be a starting WR in the NFL, you deserve those millions.

    Grown men often regret expressing emotions so publicly, amd for good reason. Im a little embarrassed for him. Patience and discipline would help him as a man and as a professional more than anything he's saying publicly. He's letting himself be exploited by sports media and turning his personal and private affairs into a drama show. Nick Bosa, Trent Williams, George Kittle, Fred Warner who kept their negotiations to themselves, should be his ideal examples. All of them became the highest paid players at theor positions when they signed their contracts. Aiyuk is clearly listening to the BAD ADVICE regarding "leveraging" social media to his advantage contract wise, and especially public opinion wise. He should be taking Bosa's advice instead.

    This interview did clear up some things. Previously David suggested Aiyuk wanted to wait for the others to sign so it wasn't the 49ers' fault he wasn't signed earlier. It turns out Aiyuk wasn't waiting for the other WRs to sign and wanted to sign early on but they couldn't come to agreement and that was before "the market changed" as Aiyuk put it which means his asking price went up since then. If the 49ers didn't like his asking price back then, they definitely don't like it now with the WR inflation that's happened. So this is on the 49ers for not getting him signed earlier.

    • @Wolfeson28
      @Wolfeson28 2 дня назад

      @@brianollivier Well, he said they were close to a deal at an earlier point. So if the Niners had just upped their offer a bit more then (like offering him that $26 million APY 2 months ago instead of now), he probably signs it. So not only the organization, which I often criticize for many years, don't want to pay what he wants, the organization has upperhands on him because of his contract, and now he also created hate from numerous fans that used to love him. He trusts his girl and his buddies for his future and not the ones paying him. Good luck.

    I am thinking the hold up is the Niners are trying to be too creative with the contract with off-set language, workout bonuses, incentives, signing bonus in order to massage the cap as best as possible. Which they should, but we all know those creative type contracts have a lot of fluff in them and the player doesn't really see the money involved in the contract. I think BA's agent is doing his best to make sure all the guarantees are in there.

    A team paying a player a huge contract is different when you aren’t contending than a team in contention. It’s actually a very sneaky trick good GM’s will use. More so in the NBA than the NFL, but NFL GM’s do it too. When you’re rebuilding you can pay a guy way more than the current market if it’s the kind of guy that’s team in contention feels like is that missing piece they need to win a title. They do it because when you make a trade you have to match salaries. So if Minnesota signs Jefferson to $45 million or whatever it is someone will have to give them a lot more picks and prospects for the league to approve it. This is something Sam Presti with the OKC Thunder made famous. That’s how he’s accumulated all of those picks. People thought he was crazy when he paid Andre Roberson, Steven Adams, Serge Ibaka, Victor Oladipo, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and even taking on Chris Paul’s massive contract for a season when he was like 37. They all got paid above market value and people thought he was crazy, but he was able to flip them for Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and something like 12 1st round picks over the next 5 years. I’m not sure if that’s exactly what the Vikings were doing, but it smells a little fishy. If they plan on rebuilding and a team wants him at the trade deadline for a run they could get a massive amount of picks and prospects for matching that salary.

    My man just needs to chill out for 1 more season. He can’t see it because he’s too close, but he’s only hurting himself by signing this summer. It’s obvious as day to what the plan is, but Lynch can’t without disrupting the chemistry for this season. Deebo is 28 in 32 year olds body with all the hits he takes. The 49ers are going to trade Deebo for like a 1st and a 3rd round pick after this season. That’s why they drafted Pearsall in the 1st round. They want to give him a season in the system before they let Deebo go. Once they clear that money Aiyuk may very well sign the largest receiver contract ever next season if he has a good year this season, but they can’t offer him anywhere close to that this summer. They gotta sign Purdy next season too, so you know they can’t afford to have 2 of the top paid receivers. Deebo plays like a running back and he’s 28. We’ve all seen how fast those guys fall off a cliff after 30, especially guys that haven’t particularly taken care of their conditioning for most of their career. You can’t afford both receivers, Aiyuk is going to pass Deebo talent wise this year, the end of Deebo’s career is a lot closer than Aiyuk’s, and Aiyuk’s career will be longer and will be in his prime longer because of his style. They also gotta trade Deebo while they can still get value for him. Once you put all of that together it’s pretty obvious what they’re doing, but if they said something Deebo would be completely disgruntled this season and might even sit out. Aiyuk just needs to chill and read between the lines and he’ll make way more money when he sign next summer. Aiyuk will be the 1, Jennings and Pearsall will battle for 2 and 3, and Conley will probably be the 4 at the start of next season.
