One of the many things I love about Mariah is that she knows her voice and can sing around and change things up depending on how good she feels her vocals are.
Her voice in this era was so full of rasp and lost its ease to reach and sustain notes. She must have struggled a lot during this tour to “make it happen”. Her life was experiencing a major change that deteriorated her voice back then after all.
