Best Ambient Synth Shootout #11: Ensoniq Fizmo - Song 2

- This is number four in my cue, the Ensoniq Fizmo ;-) It's one of my first synths I bought and it can be found in many of my first electro songs until I took a longer nap in 2004. Now I rediscover it again :-)
I used it together with the following FX pedals:
Digitech Polara, Digitech Obscura, and Alesis Ampliton.
The signal goes via a small Behringer mixer straight into the pc.
To create the complete song I recorded several tracks, each mainly played live using a Miditech keyboard. The final song was then mastered with just a bit EQ and compression on some tracks.
Well, I decided to go back to the basics, but at the same time make something useful for the synth community and do a kind of competition (I like competitions;-). What's my best synth for ambient music :-)

Really lovely ambient music. You've got Fizmo sounding so good.
Many thanks for your comment :-)
Very Michael Stearns - Planetary Unfolding. Excellent!
Many thanks for your comment :-)
I'm just in here enjoying some Fizmo sounds and saw this comment. Michael Stearns obviously didn't use a Fizmo on Planetary Unfolding, as it wasn't released yet, but I can say he does have a Fizmo. I sold an old USB MIDI interface on eBay once, and was surprised to see who I was shipping it to when I printed the label... it was Michael Stearns. As a big fan of his, I decided to send him a quick message and he said he purchased the interface to use with an old computer specifically to set up some old editing software/librarian for his Fizmo. Cool stuff!
Awesome ambient sounds. Great demo. I really want to get this last Ensoniq synth, one is going on Ebay at the moment and it seems very rare and hard to find now 🙂👍
Many thanks for your nice comment :-) Yes, it wasn't a commercial success due to wrong positioning on the market, so the number of manufactured unites were small.
gear porn.. my new fetish. old Ensoniq synths.
