    I don't know if you ever watch videos from other creators, but I just watched a video by Strat Gaming Guides called "What I Learned After 50+ Hours of Only Farming In Manor Lords." He goes deep on testing the farming mechanics in the game, and reveals a lot of information about what went wrong with your farms. It seems that the farming in the Early Access release behaves in some very unexpected ways.

    In Zweiau, your woodcutter is jammed up. The "Transitionary Resource" is the logs they bring back from the trees they cut down. They are supposed to then turn those into Firewood. But since the building is completely full, there is no room for the Firewood. I think the only fix would be to destroy the building and rebuild it.
    Also, in Goldhof, if I remember correctly, you did build the Dyer building already? If so, that is where all your berries are going to.

    Farming, in this version at least, is pretty broken if you're using automatic and not manually harvesting. I didn't know about any of this until a random video popped up in my feed called "What I learned After 50+ Hours of Only Farming in Manor Lords." A lot of the time huge percentages of the crops are lost if you don't know how/when to swap out people. And when I say a huge percentage, depending on your field sizes, it's legit huge. Might be updated in the newest version but I haven't enabled that version at the time of this post.

    Hey Biffa. The issue with the trading not getting the food in: you are asking too much of those five traders. They can’t do all that work, as the border is a ways away. Put in one or two more trading posts. That will make a huge difference. Of course assign as many pack animals as possible, so they are faster. Lastly, allow foreign traders to come in to the trade posts. Having the foreign traders may, or may not, cost more for the products. Am not sure. Click on the people tab inside a trade post to see what those traders are doing. Good luck!

    As someone who grew up in farm country, the word "fallow" simply means you don't plant ANYTHING for a year. You plough the field, then leave it empty for that year. However, you still need to rotate your crops. So, you do wheat or rye one year, then barley the next year. Since there is no option for peas/beans, maybe the third year can be a fallow year. You also need to burn the field after the harvest.

    • @Sandriell
      @Sandriell Месяц назад

      Burning the field does not help with fertility at all. It is simply meant as a way to reset a field.

    • @patrickkelly6691
      @patrickkelly6691 Месяц назад

      @@Sandriell Wrong.
      Burning crop residues releases nutrients back into the soil in the form of ash. These nutrients can then be utilized by the next crop planted in the field, improving soil fertility.
      ALSO - Burning the field clears away the leftover crop stubble and other debris, making it easier for farmers to prepare the land for the next planting season. It saves time and labor compared to other methods of residue management.

    I feel like you simply need more markets to distribute all the stuff clogging up your storehouses. I do really like your idea to grow all apples in the new area. One monoculture in your kingdom is manageable, and you get to export apples and import all the rest of the food the new region desires. I feel like you might want to experiment with the game a little and push this maybe too far.

So you plant field 1,2 and 3 is fallow. the next year you make field 1 fallow and you plant fields 2 and 3....and third year you plant field 1 and field 2 is fallow and field 3 is planted.

  • @andromidius

    If you want a real struggle - challenging difficulty is quite the thing. The difficulty jump is extreme - villages get grumpy very quickly and demand a tier higher then what I'm used to in normal difficulty. Essentially level 2 families demand three types of food, two types of clothing and alcohol. Doesn't sound like much - but getting barley going when you're at risk of desertion while the Baron is constantly sweeping the map of all bandits is quite the difficulty curve. Oh, and the basic level one villagers demand a church and clothing immediately.
    Beginning of year four (of attempt #3) and I've not upgraded a single burgage to level 2. Not got a military beyond the five retinue (who can't even beat a basic bandit group one-on-one). Only just planted my first crop during the previous autumn and started mining. I 'might' have a militia by the end of the year. Maybe. Meanwhile the Baron has claimed almost the entire map and I'm feeling the pressure.

    • @andromidius

    Looks like that woodcutters camp is hella bugged, prolly need to delete it and rebuild it. I would assume the transitional resource is normal, but it probably cant transition into firewood when the storage is over-full. Basically the slightly annoying overfull bug and the transitional resource (probably was made to fix a bug) ended up combining to break your camp.

    • @Dglstlr
      @Dglstlr Месяц назад

      You only need to relocate the buildings this happens in, I've had it happen a few times with hunting camps. If you relocate it resets the buildings inventory by dumping everything on the ground. It drops the transition resources and works again.

    Storage problem in 2 villages, so you need to work on your logistics,
    Lot more kilin is needed to completely convert firewoods to charcoal, check firewood has limited work area or not,
    Don't have enough well also,
    Advanced armory would be better as you're building a trading village, you can always get the foods cheap
    Also the 1st village doesn't have that perk, so instead of trading in foods, create routes of foods from the 2nd village
    Put trading posts near to the trading points, that'll cut the commuting time a lot
    You can add mule for each of the family members which will increase the inventory to 20 at a time
    I think you should start a new playthrough , as this one has no future
