Awesome video, thank you. This is a fat bird, but it seems fast! Andrew Newton also suffered from stabilisation problems with it. I honestly don't think it's worth all the extra money over the Mini Talon - or the Dolphin for that matter...
to be fair, all the pitch wiggle until the last flight were because I had P gain set to zero, causing i term build-ups. In the end I went for a more classic PID way and it solved it completely. But no day so far have been without wind, so will know for sure on a calm day next time
where did you find to be the best c.g. on this plane ?

Propre les test. La Cam a l'arrière donne une belle vue, Tu devrais utiliser l'autre canopi fourni pour faire un pan tilt , le vue ne sera que plus belle :) .
Faudra aussi que tu me donne ton adresse que je vienne volé par chez toi. Un cadre idyllique j'adore.
Tout des montagnes et champs autour de Grenoble :)

I like my Dolphin and I want to build Killer Whale as pan N tilt platform. What do you thing about 2806,5 1300KV on 7040. Similar setup to yours, I just went with kit so looking for the right motors.
Sounds good to me, quite similar to the factory gear that works well !
@@Olivier-C and one more thing, from your experience, should i go with 14 awg wires for the battery or will 16 be enought ?
@@jjanass 16 is more than enough for short wires and up to 50A burst. And 14 is really annoying to solder

saw someone using 5000 mah batts on the whale n it flew perfect ..
yes the 4S 4000 I'm using for now is a bit light, but since this video I've made few tweaks so its better balanced, but yeah out of the box it needs at least 450 grams of battery in the front
