    Thank you for this video, I can't ride dirt bikes and was curious how those trails are.

      Thanks for the feedback! Given all the trails I rode the following time I was here I thought of that and made sure to call out which number I was on. I should be posting a video by the end of this week showing most of the black trails and I'll be sure to put the numbers in the corner.

    Great video! I was there on the 22nd. The trails were good. Im excited to see them after a few months of people riding them.

      I'm sure they'll be real nice by fall time. I think it'll get alot of traffic.

      It's definitely a nice system and only part of what WV has to offer. There are alot of private single track trails but this is a great system if you don't know anyone to guide you at the other trails.

    I was there the 23rd!! It was awesome!! Can't wait until the trails are packed. I rode every blue trail and 46, 58,59,60, 61. And a couple 80s and 50s back out of that mess haha. Take care on 60/61 until the dirt's packed.
    The rock structure is sweet!
    Me and a buddy got super lucky and a train passed us as we rode along 21? Maybe it was 19 or 20 idk. Nonetheless the place is sick.

      I should have a video coming up with some of those trails included. I rode it on Saturday and there were at least 15 bikes. I got a sweet picture at the rock formation and checked out the tunnel. I tried to find the overlook on 61 but couldn't find it when I was on it. If you're local or plan to ride often and need someone else to ride with let me know.

    Great video! Where can I buy a map of this trail system? Love to go, just need someone to ride it with sometime, I’m new to the area. Thanks 😊

      I would be open to riding it most weekends and some weekday evenings. If you search meadowood park tornado wv the office there has paper maps for free. They sell trail passes at $25 yearly for wv residents and $50 for out of state guests. You can also download the map at the following website trailsheaven.com/plan-your-trip/choose-a-trail/tornado/

    Question for ya, are there green trails so I can bring some newbs and my 10 yr old who isn't ready for tight single track? He just got his first clutch bike.

    • @AppalachianOutdoorChannel
      @AppalachianOutdoorChannel  7 дней назад +1

      There are not technically any green trails, but depending on how much everyone has been on a bike they could probably ride most of the blue trails. It is close to Ivy branch so I would suggest going there first. If they can ride the green trails to the blues on the right side of the map, all the 30s and 40s with no problems then they could probably ride 25-50% of the blues at Tornado with no issue.

    I'm local, haven't been out yet but I'm guessing these will be slick as snot once they get moisture.

      If you ever want to meet up and ride let me know. I live in Winfield so I plan on going often. Some rain would do alot of good in some of the trails. Others have quite a bit if exposed roots and rock and I'm sure those would be tough when wet.

      I've never heard of it but looking at Google maps I'm guessing that there 6 of trails around the strip job and probably alot of hill climbs?

    Those trails look awesome, try standing up on the pegs and turning the bike with your body and weighting the pegs , it will be a lot more enjoyable for yeah !

      Thanks for watching. I like to mix it up and sit more often when I'm tired or don't need to stand. Definitely easier to ride better standing up though! I should be posting more of the single track trails here later this week
