You're dependant in a way because you have played with it for so long, play without and make adjustments and you'll see you get used to No AA and then start popping off, once you go back to AA you will notice you will over compensate because your brain isn't used to it.
If your controller has gyroscope, try turning it on when you don't use aim assist. The gyro helps with making microadjustments when you aim and all you have to do is move the controller.
aim assist doesn't work that good at a far distance, its almost non existent , K&M are way better for long to mid range fights and they also have better recoil control

I’m a mouse keyboard gamer myself but I’ve been playing controller for the past four months to truly learn and understand it, and I realize that once I knew how to kick in rotational assist and abuse that, it’s tracking your opponents strafe faster than an esports pro can even visually read the situation, lmao. I just went back to MNK the other day and the difference was absurd, it was so much more than I expected it to be.

I was training with AA off. I went to play with my friend, and i forgot to turn it back on. I actually got a few lazer kills but noticed i wasnt beaming consistently. I kept complaining about Internet this and that for missing shots to the point i got off. The next day, i noticed it was off and laughed about it.

It’s a little more complex then that considering mouse kb is on a 2D plane while controller is a 3D one so mouse and kb has a lot more precise accuracy while controller kind of needs aim assist to compete because otherwise you’ve got people making precise small adjustments that controller just can’t make so I’d argue AA is fair

Keep playing with it off and turn off sync ads to fov. Turning that off will take away 98% of your recoil at the expense of zoom. If youre already an accurate player its a good tradeoff. Also close range battles are the hardest without aim assist, as most rely heavily on AA close range. Once youve gptten proficient with close range battles without AA, turn it back on and you will be god level.

Siege and Apex are different. You need a higher sens in Apex and you need to be on target for a long time. Long TTK in Apex no lucky headshots or 3 bodyshot kills.
There was a time I stopped playing Apex because I kept getting worse and worse. I took a month off and then the addiction kicked in, the game was calling me. Play 1 match and it was trash. Next thing I do, I enter into what I like to call a "Sens crisis" and start changing the sens. Happens to be that Aim Assist was off all that time.
I personally play every game besides gta with out aim assist every time I load a game up I only do it to feel improvement for my aim ( trust me if you think your bad your probs just haven a rough day and practice does make perfect )

If you take away Aim assist from every game, most controller players wouldn't want to play it at all. You would have a very small few who would get good and become better without Aim assist but the majority of controller players would have terrible aim because of the default input of controllers by design. I personally think changing the design of controllers entirely could be the fixed for
competitive play with keyboard and mouse and controller players.

When you switch to mouse and key board tell me how much you miss and how you have to learn how to walk again, pc players are matched against controller players with aim assist who can also Tapstrafe and do every movement tech we can plus max strafing if they are really good. I practice this all the time in GTA 5, without aim assist. I use a Heavy Revolver or the AP Pistol.

Siege and Apex are different. You need a higher sens in Apex and you need to be on target for a long time.
Long TTK in Apex no lucky headshots or 3 bodyshot kills.
There was a time I stopped playing Apex because I kept getting worse and worse. I took a month off and then the addiction kicked in, the game was calling me. Play 1 match and it was trash. Next thing I do, I enter into what I like to call a "Sens crisis" and start changing the sens. Happens to be that Aim Assist was off all that time.
All MnK players who complain about aim assist should be forced to play controller without aim assist.

He s not tap strafing at all just common strafe with random crouch. Super easy to one clip that guy if youre decent on controller
