You can make white holes in your sink. Turn on the faucet to maximum, and watch a ring of smooth water form around the bottom of the flowing water column. That is where water is in supercritical flow, flowing faster than waves can propagate through the water. Nothing that is free floating around in the water will ever be able to cross the outer ring, no matter how hard it tries.
Similarly, the drain in a sink is like a black hole. Anything floating in the water that passes the neck of the whirlpool will never be able to leave.

"I think there's an artist hidden at the heart of every one of us." I wholeheartedly agree. As an artist who failed to do well in math class at school - not for a lack of interest in the subject but because it wasn't taught well - I was always keenly aware that the only reason I felt unhappy when presented with math to solve was because I was frustrated that I couldn't understand it and that others would look down on me for that rather than take it as an opportunity to teach me properly. I wanted to like and understand math but no one was patient enough or had the time enough to teach it patiently in a way I could understand. As I got into the arts, I also became aware more and more that people seemed to underestimate the importance of the creative arts and how deeply they are linked to our existence as humans, as well as to other "more" analytical subjects. Imagine my joy at finding this channel then. Especially the video about Finding X, just immediately captured me. Thanks for all the education, for being a free, patient space online where I can learn about this subject that I have always wanted to, and for wholeheartedly believing in the importance of art as well as science. Thanks for being a welcoming space for both artists and scientists, as we each all have art and science within us.

9:40 “How would you imagine the inside of a white hole?”
Like the “outside” of a black hole.
What defines “inside” and “outside”? Is it the difference between how much “space” is on either side of a barrier? If that’s the case, and the singularity at the center of a black hole continuously stretches space on the inside of the event horizon (the barrier between “inside” and “outside”) then how much space is really on the “inside” of a lack hole? Isn’t space stretching into itself the same thing as space expanding? What’s really the difference between the cosmological event horizon and a black hole’s event horizon?

If white holes pushes out its compressed contents in the same of similar form, the black/white lifecycle might make an interesting form of data compression.

The funny thing is that I stumbled across this video after reading the book yesterday. Amazing video, and the book is likewise!

I think a real interesting question is what happens if you approach a white hole using a warp drive at faster than light speeds. We all know that any ship approaching a white hole at sublight speeds would be unable to make it down a white hole, just as it would be incapable of escaping a black hole.
But the complex part is when you basically have two areas of highly distorted space interacting with each other. I'm not sure if the spacetime bubble would collapse on contact, destroying the ship in the process, or punch through the white hole, let what being inside a white hole would do the spacetime bubble.

Tibees, you hair is so awesome! Besides that, your presentation have really become more enjoyable and natural than 6-7 years ago. Keep the physics going! Maybe string theory soon?
