Great video. That said, love the outdoor scenery and a bit jealous seeing Spring arrive in Australia...while (conversely) here in the Midwest US/Northern, Illinois... Autumn has passed and Winter has actually arrived nearly an entire month early!
This is actually one of the most enlightening videos ive seen on the subject. Everything well illustrated and pleasantly narrated, its absolutely brilliant.
Never heard sine and cosine explained like that in school. I always encountered them in math problems but never understood the idea behind them. Thanks for the content toby!❤️
Lol the DVD video logo was so random and fun! Good job! I hope that the colorful story will help young math and physics enthusiasts remembering how each term plays in the sin function!
I am impressed by your clarity. You taught in ten-minutes the trigonometry that I self-studied in a week (I took a summer class of mathematics to skip a grade and challenge myself but the summer teacher never taught trigonometry). TL; DR you're amazing
I like the T-shirt. It has a very peaceful but at the same time sophisticated theme to it. I wanted to thank you for your videos all along. I have finally started studying introductory physics!
I didn't understand anything of that sine stuff... need to try harder, but i have been mesmerized by your enchanting way of telling this great story of bob, the acorns and the squirrels. AND I plant trees! A lot of them due to my work as a gardener. Thank you for peaking my interest in this subject.
Thank You Tibees for your time and effort. I would not call myself anything more than a bit less than clueless where math is concerned but I really enjoy your videos because you make it easy to understand them. Beautiful examples... I wish more teachers were like you.
I just learned AND understand more trig in 12:42 than I did in 16 weeks in high school math class. You're amazing Toby! ...so happy I found your channel!!!
The nature sounds add to the presentation in this style of video. Also, I wish there was room for this type of creativity in order to understand topics in undergrad math. We get so many practice problems I don’t feel like I get enough time to process the whole picture.
You are a great teacher.Your teaching method is very special and easily understanding. It's let's me think on a different level and approach diffrent ideas.Thanks.
So easily explained......earlier I didn't know about the relationship of circle with the sine wave.....thank you ma'am ..keep doing this great work with such an ease...
This joy of mathematics series is an utter joy. I enjoy it all so much. I mentioned that in another video here. I am continuing to watch this series, re-invigorating my mathematic mind after such a long hiatus from anything mathematic. I enjoy that you continue a narrative all throughout with bob :)
I watched briefly "marilyn Monroe" and "Elvis Presley" and then Tibees Video. Wonderful introduction and story. I have watched this recently and recalled using this maths with oscilloscopes. Thankyou Toby !
The pronoumciation of acorns sounds like the word squirel in dutch We call squirels “eekhoorns” (sounds like acorns) which made it a bit confusing sometimes : ‘ )
Feels good as always..It's been a while since i watched your last episode of joy of mathematics or any other of your channel in fact... thank u toby and of course to our beloved nature lover bob as well.
Thank you, Toby! 💖 I am a new subscriber and I am so glad I found you through Physics Girl! Ever since I found you I have been watching so many of your videos. I also aspire to be like Bob. Bob is cool. 🤗 I also love Brilliant.org. 🤗
Aha, Professor Storytime! I really hope she does Ted-Talk someday. Myriad parents and teachers could be inspired to make obtuse-at-first-glance subjects pleasantly digestible for those who learn via metaphors.
👚The shirt i'm wearing is a design that I made myself. They are available at: teespring.com/stores/tibees
I never enjoyed math. now I do. nice job. excellent teacher.
Your videos are so fun to watch! You are very smart and you always have a smile! Love it!!

Hey tibees can you explain in video s why the electron dont fall on the nucleus thanks from Switzerland
this story has lots of ups and downs.
As requested, here is your chortle, fellow humerus being.

Me, too. But I'm still shaken by the "dangerous sea creatures" at a scant 6 metres under the surface.
@@ty9884 They're only a problem when the seastate reaches 6 sin(2πx/5-2πt/10). 😁

No you didn't!
A WARNING SINE Absolutely amazing xD I already love this!
hehe
ok

Bob-ing up and down.
Also Bob got a tan.
You never disappoint Toby! Be like Bob.

Please keep it continue.

I cannot get enough of your voice; much like Bobs, its so soothing and encouraging.
Also like Bob, you have incredible hair.
Was bob her father?
I dislike audio books but if I knew Tibees voiced one I would snap it right up.
Absolutely correct bro
As a person who wants to pursue a career in physics I like to see people who also love mathematics and physics. Great content keep up the great work
I am impressed by your clarity. You taught in ten-minutes the trigonometry that I self-studied in a week (I took a summer class of mathematics to skip a grade and challenge myself but the summer teacher never taught trigonometry).

This channel is so chill, like one of those coffee hangout spots with smooth jazz music.
The background scenery is so wonderful, I almost forgot it was Canberra and not Sydney for a second. Ah, hate when that happens :-)
The way she says "back and forth motion" . Just lovely!
You opened up my eyes! I saw the sine.
The whistle that comes when you speak is very soothing, and very good explanation.
Like a sine wave, you are too pure for this world.

@Tarzan what?
@Tarzan what is wrong with you?
dude i just want everyone to take a sec and appreciate Toby's hair

The sine always seemed odd and complex to me, but you helped me understand it. Thank you!
This girl is super intelligent. She seems so humble too. Nice attributes.
Why did I go from “Veggietales predicts modern internet humour” to a mathematics show that I would normally see on TV on the PBS channel?
Are you implying Veggietales predicts modern internet humour wasn't a masterpiece?
@@Assault_Butter_Knife Never seen that episode before.
@@Assault_Butter_Knife Are you implying you are gae?
You have very good understanding of those concepts
I am a 10th grader and never read about sin wave before but i was able to understand lots of things
Oh wow. Now I understand it and I’ve learned why we were taught it. And it took a RUclips video in 2020 for this 62yr old. Thank you.
I can see how much you appreciate the elegance of science.
Thanks a lot for this very poetic way to explain the mathematics of wave propagation. You manage to put poetry in science which is the ultimate bliss.
usual warning sign on my way to the squirrels

I love you so much Tibees and thank you so much for this story!! It made me clear a lot of things that are tough to imagine.
Thank you @tibees for another great vid ... funny how Bob was ducking the falling acorns, while Duck was bobbing up & down on the lake =)
Fantastic, my favourite sine video I've watched today, good luck with all your positive nature work
I came along 50 years late...these presentations would have set me on a different course, perhaps. THANK YOU

Very nice expansion on the learn by heart(lessness) curriculum we have been through
The number of math jokes in this is incredible. Even the absolute value of mathematical on the shirt. Genius!
I love the purity of Toby's teaching. Now that's got to be a good Sine? ;-)
Thank you, for doing what you do. Light, Love and Peace to All 💚🙏
Everything just seems to work out for Bob. I like that about Bob.
The video clarifies maths concepts while the voice soothes the mind :)
watching your videos is like straining and stretching the brain to the breaking point.

The acorn ate the eekhoorn. Wait, no.
Yeah, that's really neat! German is Eichhornchen and I never thought of it before, strangely.
