I’m super happy that they at least got a few of Sonic’s basic movement options like the homing attack, but what I can see in the trailer, all three characters got a unique fighting style (with maybe some unique mechanics Y E S)
Amy uses her cards for extra movement momentum, AND attack extenders (I think) and her hammer covers a large group of enemies.
Tails is a ranged fighter that uses constructs like the Tornado and (I think) wrenches to spice up his combos (and he can, of course, use his tails to cover more distance)
Knuckles is straight up a brawler. And it looks like (from what I can hear in the trailer) that he may have some QTE’s during his attacks to deal extra damage, and maybe he has some kind of gauge that, once it’s filled up, lets him use those explosions during a few of his attacks!
I mean, I’m just speculating from what I’m seeing, but I’m hyped!
