Where I come from, any student who wants to quit going to college simply can just drop the class and have 0 units then wait for a next semester to enroll at another college. In real life, nobody signs contracts when choosing to be a student and does not sign contract when leaving. Why does a college need to collect contract signing in the 1st place if the student can just voluntarily leave at their own free will. In this video, it sounds like contract signing is part of being a student but when it comes to going to community college and university as a student, contracts do not exists. What kind of college expects students to sign contracts for entrance and for leaving?
I don't think much of those shallow classmates at that college. They made it clear they only paid attention to her because they assumed a romantic relationship. Lori didn't start the rumor or even say it was true. What she did wasn't right either, but she's better off without those shallow classmates who never really cared about her in the first place.

The meeting in my father's office is none of your business ... it's a family affair . The dean should have the professor and his daughter at the stage with to straighten out the matter to all the students . Dean speaks first as he speaks up about the matter . The professor and Lori ( especially ) speak to everyone with an apology for letting things go out of hand ... the Dean steps back to the microphone as he dismisses the matter as the he also dismisses the meeting .
Best advice I've gotten in life is to never run from your problems and think you're gonna start a new one, because you take you wherever you go. Learn from them and continue to move forward while loving and accepting yourself first. Then new and healthier friendships can evolve.
