Everglades seasoning, You are truly a Florida boy.
Yes sir!
From one Polk County boy to another, great job. I love your videos.
Thanks!
I really enjoy your videos, very well done. When I was a kid several families would meet at Howard park and go out and we kids would dive for scallops with pillow cases and fill up a trash can while the parent drank beer. Once we filled up the trash can we’d head back to Howard park and roast the scallops, the kids stuck with hot dogs and Check cola
Good times! My family used to do that with oysters, although I've never liked them.
Heading that way in a couple weeks. It’s good to know that the storm won’t effect our scallop trip
Absolutely kickass! You never forget those rainstorms. Heading back to San Diego tomorrow for beachside camping....thank god! Timmy C Arizona
I wanna go beach side camping lol
Yall havin` too much fun.....lol !!! Thumbs up.
Wolf from Pasco County, FL.
Bro I live in florida and i never knew people did this. thanks for the video!
You're welcome! It's like an Easter egg hunt.
Soooooo cool!
Looked like a lot of fun . With all the Boats I have owned and lived in Florida my whole life with Salt and Freshwater fishing I have never been Scalloping I have done Snorkeling and mite I say I`m 64 yrs. old
You're still in your prime. You have until the end of September to try it!
Scalloping is something I will learn how, and make myself the opportunity to do. Not sure how yet, but I’ll make happen. Looks like you had a great experience.
I need to find somewhere without the boat traffic so I can take my little boat. It was a lot of fun. You can take charters out to scallop. There's plenty of pontoon boats with hoards of people.
Nice, I scalloped off one of my Gheenoe's some time back out of Weeki Wachee. Looked like you were in shallow water. We had to dive down like 9 feet for them scallops.
9 feet would suck. This was 3-4ft. There were so many of them. I'm going to take my little boat back out here after the hurricane.
I don't recall ever eating scallops, I will have to give them a try some time.
Looks intense
The sunburn was well worth it!
Un fortunately the scallops have been over harvested and are not as plentiful as they use to be, but it is a fun thing to do.
This year they are plentiful! Shallow water too!
GOOD JOB KEV , ENJOY , SEE YOU ON THE NEXT !
Thanks Joe!
Man looked like glass on the ride back
The backwater is usually like that.
I assume you guys are ready for the storm? Hope all goes well for everyone in its path.
It was nothing but a rain storm. Might even take the boat out later.
@@OverlandFlorida Good deal. My son lives in Ocala. I just spoke to him and he was shocked at how little wind and rain there has been so far (we live in Alabama so this is his first experience lol). Take care my friend.
I really hope you didn't bake those scallops with the plastic frivil on the ends. Great video as always.
I don't even remember if we did or not lol. Thanks for watching!
Where did you stay?
A friend's house.
We're you louch the boat. Or you rent house over there 👍
You can launch at Macrae's in Homosassa.
How many people did y'all have? Thats a ton of scallops
Total of about 30 gallons between 2 days. 10 gallons per boat each day.
@@OverlandFlorida 10 gallons per boat if you have at least 5 people on board,2 gallons per persom depending on what zone your in
I don't even bother with the snorkel. I just walk around and pick them up with my toes.
Haha. I wouldn't do that.
