Troy, thank you, thank you for serving us church guitar players with these incredible videos. I know with the time you put in it's a sacrifice. You make service prep so much easier and help stoke ideas for different parts in the songs. Whenever we do a new song, I'm always pumped to see you covered it cause 9/10 I'm gonna end up doing what you're doing haha
This video won me over man. When trying to nail songs, I go to YT to find the parts, and I’m always picky about the guitar players’ tone and parts choices. You nail both, and on top of it, you bring the Word back into the learning/rehearsal of worship music. You’re a true blessing and God’s using this as a vessel. Keep it up! You’re my new resource!
Great job as always. I love your tone. This song is so powerful. We are doing it for the first time tomorrow at my church (Shane and Shane version). Thanks for you ministry. Keep up the good work
What a powerful message!!! Awesome song brother! This was such a blessing to watch and listen to! Hope that everything went wonderful during your prison ministry. God bless you brother!
I don't know why but it took me a while to realize what key you are in. But I was so happy to figure you are in Ab and we are doing it in G! so good bro.
Ahh man so timely, me and my girlfriend have been memorizing 1 Peter 1 together :) Blessed by your ministry, brother. (And the Emissary sounds great btw! Even though your description still says Tumnus HAHA)
Hey Everyone, for anyone wanting to play something different in the chorus. Jeffrey Kunde's bridge line in Alleluia on the JC Live in NYC album goes perfectly with it.
Hey man! You sound great! Thanks for the attention to detail you put into these videos, it’s really appreciated! I wanted to know, what drives are you using? I see the superbolt on there but in your bio you have the morning glory but it’s not on your board. Also, what patch cables do you have on your board?
I'd be happy to. If you can give me your email I will send it to you. I created a tab for the keys of A, Ab, Eb, F. It's very close to his tutorial except that I removed the need for a capo by simplifying a few little things.
Guitar for HIS Glory nice! I hear great things about Lollar and not so great things. I think they’re probably great pickups. Do they get noisy/ungrounded when you take your hand off of the strings?
Do you pretty much play the same thing for the guy key (D-Eb)? My church has been doing the Bethel arrangement in D. I know the intro and a lot of the turns are pretty different.
What version of this song are you guys doing? I love Phil Wickham, but I prefer this version. So awesome!
I believe this is Bethel's version
Love both. Prefer Phil's Version but we play this version because it fits my wife's key perfectly lol
Bethels version
25 seconds into the video Troy said it's the Crosspoint Church version
@@alspartanian This is Cross Point’s version.
Thank you brother, thanks for showing us how to play this version, I will play it this Easter Sunday. Beautifully executed.
I really appreciate you and your post... professional, clear info and easy to follow, and I dig your spirit and desire to glorify Christ. Mahalo!
I’ve watched so many different versions of this song, and I have to say I love melodic riffs so much over constant ambience. Thx for posting!
I keep finding myself on this channel! Thanks

Jordan, glad to hear this brother. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement.

God bless you, Randy!
Bro! I shared this with my worship pastor and he loves it! We are doing this version! So happy:)
I don't know why but it took me a while to realize what key you are in. But I was so happy to figure you are in Ab and we are doing it in G! so good bro.
Great job, we are playing soon and I appreciate your arrangement! I also use your camper profiles and those are great

(And the Emissary sounds great btw! Even though your description still says Tumnus HAHA)
That's awesome that you know of Crosspoint. I used to go there, and I know Sheryl (The Singer).
She has an AMAZING voice. Like...wow!
Ahhh man!! Wish I could play like that😂 good job buddy!
Keep practicing. :)

I’m definitely a boosted neck pickup junkie 😂 The chorus where you flicked on the Emissary sounded killer brother!
That's a nice tone, eh? That boost is suhweet!
Cross point version is on our 2019 new music list 👍
❤
Whats the thought behind using the Emissary (thats what boost that is right?) as opposed to getting like a second stage drive for those lead lines?
The Emissary (or Tumnus, which I normally use) pushes the Kemper into natural overdrive. I prefer that sound for the lighter gain stuff.
Hey man! You sound great! Thanks for the attention to detail you put into these videos, it’s really appreciated!
I wanted to know, what drives are you using? I see the superbolt on there but in your bio you have the morning glory but it’s not on your board.

The pedalboard shot shows the drives I use in this video. You can head to guitarforhisglory.com/my-gear/ to see the most recent shot of my pedalboard.
hi bro what is the guitar effect you use for this song?
Hello. All that is explained in the video at GuitarforHISGLORY.com. 👍🏻
Great work! Did you put a tab together for it?
I don't offer tabs. Sorry. :(
No worries! The tutorial was awesome and I tabbed it out. Thank you so much!
Mark Pomeroy what are the chances I can get ahold of your tab?
I'd be happy to. If you can give me your email I will send it to you. I created a tab for the keys of A, Ab, Eb, F. It's very close to his tutorial except that I removed the need for a capo by simplifying a few little things.
Mark Pomeroy Sure, it’s agmartone12@gmail.com thank you!!!
What key are you playing this in??
This in Ab. For future reference, the Key is always in the Thumbnail.
What kind of pickups are you using in your Portlander?
Lollar El Rayos.
If you like the parts, sure. Transpose to whatever key you'd like.
tone on point :) What profile you rocking here?
Heinrich, Tone Junkie Matchless+Bassman.
Fun note, he has his tuner active in another path, so you can see the notes he's playing.
Can't you just tell by looking at the fretboard? 🤔
What key is this in?
Eddie Bien-Aime Ab. Key is always in the video thumbnail. 👍🏻
What key is this in?
Someone Else Ab. Key is always listed in the video thumbnail. 👍🏻
