I was low key waiting for someone to appear, ask how his morning was, ask us how our morning was... have a useless sequence of someone drinking coffee and have him say "aaaaaaah, there's nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning..." go on a tangent of the first time he drank coffee... then say, "enough of the coffee let's learn how to speed up your video..." and go over the entire process of how to open After effects, and say that After Effects from the year 1998 won't work this way and then go to project panel, bring in a clip... change the positioning, rotation, add some text, blurr it... and then ask "but what if I wanted to speed this clip up?" and then finally get into the actual tutorial.

What do I do if no keyframes were added? I enabled time remapping but I have no keyframes to move

@@BattleScones You can add them by yourself. Put one on the end of the video, or the part you want to be the upper limit of the speeding up process, and one on the beginning of the part you want to speed up, and then just drag the upper limit keyframe to wherever you want and it should work.

@@Leevanf Nah it didn't work. It didn't assign an effect to the manual keyframes.

​@@BattleScones Click on the little diamond on the most-left part after clicking on the Enable Time Remap (this should add a Time Remap effect under the track you want to use it). It is greyed out, and in the middle of two arrows. Put the slider on the start of the video, click the diamond and it will create a blue diamond on the spot. Do the same for the end of the video, then drag the end diamond to where you want.
If that doesn't work, either we have different versions with different mechanics or you got some weird bug.

@@Leevanf So I have a 4 second clip on green screen, and have a 10 second animated background that I am trying to speed up. I can enable time remapping, and it does have keyframes, but I can't get see the keyframe at the end to drag it. The entire workspace is the length of the 4 second clip, I don't understand how to drag around the 2nd keyframe to achieve the effect.

How can I edit the time of just one part of a clip that I split up? I have it in different layers but for some reason when I try to remap, it includes the whole clip. Any advice on how I can change the speed of a split up clip?

What if I want to speed up certain parts of a clip and have it return to normal? Do I need to create multiple instances of the same object?

Yes so 3 keyframes would start the ramp, second would define the fast part by dragging it closer to start. Then the third set at a normal distance to return to normal. In order to get the normal speed you have to create all your keyframes first then you can start dragging them around the screen.

Hey, you can drag the end key frame in to speed up entire clip or pre-compose entire project and then speed up whole project.
