Just what I needed! a video by a fellow scouser, the garden is lovely and I think its fair to say you are a bit salvia obsessed, enjoyed listening to you, regards from Ontario, Canada. #YNWA.

Great garden thank you for giving the name of your plants it's very helpful. Lovely to have a good Liverpudlian gardener even though I'm a Mancunian. There are so few northern gardening programmes.

Hi sorry for the late reply, I have neglected the channel for a while. I think the accent has some foreign followers confused 😂. There are not many RUclips channels in our area. I think city gardens are all being paved over. Thank you very much for watching. I will try and put more on this year.

Nice, it's great to have colour at this time of the year. My Geums were still flowering up until last week, but I cut them right back, the point being; some regular pruning and you'll have garden interest until December if you don't get hard frosts. I love colour in October, my garden is full of flower now.

The Geums are great. I’m probably lacking flowers even now as it is still mild.

@@mywalledgarden Bowles's Mauve wallflower has to be the best plant for long season colour, it started flowering last February, after a hard prune in the summer it was covered in flower again within a few weeks, I have a large garden so I have 3 plants growing together in the middle of a border, next spring I'm gonna move all my Rudbeckias next to them, another plant that's great now Black Eyed Susans.

They are great wallflowers. I think that variety is the best of the lot. The colour contrast with the Rudbekia’s will look amazing.

Lovely ! Such a nice time of year, lots of colour around still in your garden and the evergreens really do come into their own in winter. I haven't had salvia before but having seen yours I was on the look out for some & I spotted a Blue Mirage Collection only £2 in the sick bay at the garden centre so I grabbed it :) took several cuttings and planted it, it's doing brilliant flowering away still and has doubled in size and all the cuttings I took have rooted so that was a really great buy & I was able to give some away to a neighbour.

That’s another great thing about salvias, They root really well from cuttings. Thanks very much again for watching.

You talked about your favourite salvia which was a blue one and I really liked it too, could you tell me what variety it is please. Also, you talked about a couple of shrubs that are red in colour, are they Nandina, and what variety are they please. I have been following you for quite a while now, you have a beautiful garden. I love the fact that you have so many evergreen plants, a style that I am working towards.

hi, thanks very much for watching my videos. the salvia is Salvia Patens patio deep blue. The Nandina is called obsessed. You get those red leaves all year as all the new growth is red.
