Diamine Autumn Oak is a favourite of mine. 🧡 The super bright oranges don’t appeal to me. But I do have Diamine Golden Honey in my bottle collection - which is kind of a punchier hue. And I’ve got a bottle of Monteverde Fire Opal. Unfortunately, I hardly reach for it these days.
It‘s great seeing so many „oranges“ in comparison! Thank you so much for sharing! I really wish Birmingham Pen Co. Inks would be shipped internationally too. They could be making so much money lol. But I do pretty good finding similar inks. It is what it is.
My favorite color category! How did you know? 😅 Another impeccable comparison. So many colors I've had on my wishlist - tiger lily, grapefruit, mango, autumn oak, ginger chicken - and this was exactly what I needed to see before i made purchases. Thank you! I will say, TWSBI Orange is a sleeper agent. It leaves a gorgeous dark glow around every stroke that addes subtle interest even in fine sailor nibs. Definitely worth a try if you can get your hands on a sample. My only gripe is that it doesn't come in a bottle bigger than 18mls, lol.
i recently got a full bottle of himeyuri I love her so much. I put her in the green pilot metropolitan fountain pen and I don't think I'll ever use anything else in that pen it's perfect if you got samples of all 5 anniversary inks maybe you could do a short and do like 5 big circle swatches on a page? I love ur content X'D
Welcome to the fountain pen community!! 🥰🥰 I find most of my samples at Vanness Pens vanness1938.com , Goulet Pens www.gouletpens.com , or Pen Chalet www.penchalet.com . Otherwise there are ink swaps with pen friends where we share samples from bottles of ink that we have. 💝
Yes! Love the swatching videos! I have three of the purple puzzle piece ink sample holders. I saw the one that was gifted to you or someone else here on RUclips and ordered them. She had to make more in this color first, and it was definitely worth the wait. They come in super handy! Wonderful video! Lisa
Thank you , I personally enjoy the Pilot Iroshizuku fuyu-Gaki for its pink/ coral/ highlights and deep orange red base -I’m curious why it isn’t in the video / maybe a later one
As a brown ink lover, Ginger Chicken looks gorgeous to me. I've been thinking about what colors I could get besides my FWP Steeped Umber, might be the one. I also need to find a nice ochre color, I love coloring with it so probably would love writing with it too. 🙂
Oh gosh, brown is one of my FAVORITE colors to write with. I don't think I could recommend only a few since I have so many I love. I haven't done brown inks for this "Season 2" yet, but last year I did a few brown ink videos if you're interested! ruclips.net/p/PLU2fyB-Bjm_Zvl2JZQA27BM70rNo2MZ-a&si=8A2ccTx1zZA7UxYS As for a nice ochre color, Diamine Three Kings, 3 Oysters Delicious Mustard, or Robert Oster Honey Bee are some of my favorites!
Wow!! So many lovely colors. Not Peach, but I have a bottle of Robert Oster Whiskey that I love to death. It's so lovely and rich and fun to write with
Oh I really like your ink exploration videos & am looking forward to see all these shades of 🍊 & also your descriptions of the inks. I only have one (orange ink atm. The other one I have is the Ambre de Biemaine, but that’s more of a yellow/beown. or maybe two if the second one would be considered to belong here since it’s more yellow I think.
Yes, I figured that too regarding Ambre De Birmaine (& I always seem to get the last word wrong in the name of that ink 😅🙈). I currently only have two that could count as orange but you’ve inspired me to make a new swatch page (as you did after I watched the video with the green ones 😉)
KWZ grapefruit looks so unique! Seems like my type of orange color. Have you tried Diamine Blaze orange, Robert Oster Orange Zest, Monteverde Motivation? Hope to see these inks in season 3 maybe. :)
I read the Skunk one as Orange Drank. It looks more like a Peach Drank to me, though. Try Private Reserve Orange Crush sometime and see how you like it. It’s a nice deep shading orange. Brilliant color.
Lovely and uplifting colours! 🧡 I can't get Ginger Chicken in Europe. *sigh* 😞 Have you compared Ginger Chicken with Benitsuchi? Does remember if you have. 😇🧡🙏🙌
Sad 😔 I haven't compared the two on paper side by side, but Benitsuchi is a bit redder but really close. I actually have Benitsuchi inked up for June right now haha
Hmmmm, honestly from the ones I swatched today, the new Sailor Manyo ink, BUT, I think Ferris Wheel Press Pumpkin Patch is more of a pumpkin color (I swatched it in the first season). Diamine Pumpkin though is a great pumpkin color with red shading. I didn't have a sample anymore but it s a nice deep orange!
I notice you mention ‘having pens inked up for the month’. Do you have a video about leaving all pens with ink vs only a select few for the month. Are there any problems leaving all pens with ink in them. What do you think about when you plan your inks for the month. I love your colour swatching videos - they’re very informative. Thanks. If you don’t have the video requested above, could you make one please. I'm new to the pen and ink world. Thanks again.
So many great questions!! I don't think I have a video talking about leaving inks in pens, but I do have my currently inked videos. :) I usually have about 10 pens "inked" at one time. I try not to leave pens that I don't use with ink in them. The risk is clogs in the feed or having to spend a lot more time getting dried ink out of a pen. I did have to "rescue" one of my boyfriends pens, he left it with ink for over 4 months with no use and I had to soak the nib and feed unit for days before the ink residue finally stopped. As for planning inks for the month, I either pick colors that I have been really in the mood to use, or go with a theme that I feel fits the month!
Gosh I’ve watched the whole video now & this isn’t good for my spending because now I want to get like a lot of them I feel like hehe 😅 I only have Yu-Yake atm but it was interesting how different that one looks when you’ve swatched it! And after seeing all your swatch pages, I agree that there’s a lot of orange inks out there! Didn’t know that! Lastly - does the sample bottles come with the little swatch on top of the lids, or have you done those yourself? And also - have you tried FWP Hearty Harvest too?
So glad you enjoyed the swatches!! As for your questions, I add a small white dot sticker to my sample vials and then place some of the ink on top to help me better find them in my collection. I have tried FWP Hearty Harvest! It is a lovely darker orange color that leans more red and has orange shimmer. I find it a little dry (common with most FWP inks) but it is a great "pumpkin" color!
@@mydandeliondiaries Oh thanks for answering how you’re doing with the swatch on top of the bottles! Yes, I’m finding the same thing with Hearty Harvest. May I ask where you bought the stand you’re having the ink samples in?
So happy you swatched van Dieman’s seashell! I was super curious about that one. Thanks!
Love your ink exporation videos. They are very fun. I love seeing all the orange together. I agree Coral can be orange and in the pink family.
Thank you!! 💝
Thank you for sharing a lot of lovely orange inks.
You are so welcome!

Maybe someday! I can imagine that shipping prices have a lot to do with it.

How wonderful!! I'm so glad you are loving your ink 💖 I totally should do a short video of all the new ones. Great idea 🥰
very enjoyable video! I don't like orange but I like some of the " -- ish" ones. No matter what colour it is I do love your ink videos 🧡
Thank you so much 🥰🥰

I love Fuyu Gaki! I actually showed it at the end of the video. I swatched it last year when I did the first season of this series :)
@@mydandeliondiaries oh yes I see now ! So sorry for my mistake
Thank you I didn’t know it’s also called “ winter persimmon “

Not yet! I will add those to my lit :)
I quite like Noodler's Dragon's Napalm. It's very consistent bright orange for me and has almost no shading.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
