Couple reasons. 1). This rail is designed more for tight trails and MX style driving in the dirt. A-arms allow the camber change necessary to keep the tires contact patch more flat on the ground for better control. 2). The SXS is a lot narrower than my bigger rail. In order to have trailing arms, the inner mounts of each trailing arm would be very close together and the trailing arm itself would not be able to be designed as strong. 3). A-arms allow for zero axle plunge, which creates less heat.
+SinisterSandSports - How fast are these in comparison to the Turbo'd RZR's, X3, etc in the dunes? Also what kind of suspension travel numbers are you getting front and rear in entry level and the higher level packages? If I was going to pay that much more for a buggy it better whoop ass compared to the UTV's I have now. Parts, etc are easy to come by and all issues are well documented, etc. However, I can appreciate someone making custom rails and the market for that.
They are very fast, stock HP up to 199 with 99 ft pounds of torque, 300 hp is very easy with a bolt on turbo and some have been built beyond that. I have other videos that show them driving and will give you a better idea of performance. All my SXS's, regardless of the package, have 18" rear travel and 19" front. My base model is $29,999 which is less than what people pay for a RZR after they have done a few mods to the suspension and power which still won't run as good as my base car. Money wise you can get more bang for your buck with what I offer. Most people I know with RZR's have over $35k in their machine and would prefer my car, but I don't offer financing so people that can't afford to pay outright go with a cheap monthly payment and actually end up spending way more for that RZR. One of my SXS customers bought a RZR for his wife to drive since it's automatic, he has a lot of money wrapped up in that thing and said it is no comparison to my SXS, power or suspension wise.
Turnkey start off at $30k. These 2 were 38k and 44k each, are brand new and currently for sale at 10k off each, so $28k for the blue one, $34k for the red one.
uhm, does the beautiful blonde come with it? cause if so i'll stop my build right now n buy from you!!! seriously though what company do you use for your gear boxes? and any chance we could work out me just getting the blueprints for the chassis? i will sign a agreement stating i would only use it to build my personal Rail. I would just like to build my own from the tubes up is all
SinisterSandSports I mean no offence in my above comment. I think it might be the fact that I live in South Africa and the dollar is 10 times stronger then my currency. So it would feel more expensive for me than an American. If you don't mind me asking, why bike engines? We build similar buggies here but we use 2 litre turbo Audi motors. The torque is epic
jesse G123 If you ever drove a smaller hayabusa powered rail it would be easier to understand. The smaller cars really rip with a bike motor, they are lighter, cheaper to work on, extremely reliable and the tranny is in the motor. I offer my bigger rails with car motors as well......
SinisterSandSports that definitely makes sense. Do you have trouble with torque at low revs? I really like your suspension set up. Stuff like that is hard to come by here. What do you think it would cost me to import a suspension set up from you? Not the A arms etc. Just the suspension
jesse G123 Less torque is compensated by changing the gear ratio. 1st. gear is almost useless and very peppy. The stock motor does over 200mph in the bike, we gear it to about 100 mph. Not sure what you mean by wanting the suspension but not the a-arms. The a-arms are the suspension....

Imagine a sxs with a Hayabusa engine. That’s what this is.
Nice Rails.

Looks like an RPM FNR box

Very nice buggies but nowhere close to being worth 44k.
Guess all the customers I sell them for that and even higher didn't get the memo......
