I wear niqaab and jilbab and have been feeling somewhat burdened by it, I remember when I first wore niqaab after becoming Muslim, there was this Muslim family I saw during my first 3id that just stared at me the whole time I was there getting my meal at a halal food truck. It felt terrible that the worst judgement came not from disbelievers but from Muslims. Over the years I have become much more comfortable in my niqaab and I never want to take it off, but people have a way of making it seem extreme and unnecessary and even wrong to observe proper hijab, and if we’re not careful that can chip away at one’s resolve especially in a world that rewards undress.
This came at the right time subhana Allāh I didn’t get to this point in the tafsir series this Ramadan & have yet to catch up so thank you. جزاكم الله خيراً

I will never agree with this. If you educate a woman you educate a society. Every women are not going out for fitna. In fact most working women have a lot of financial responsibilities too. What you earn in halal way is izza, wether men or women. All women does not posses financial security from husbands. Some are not lucky enough to be married even. Women need to be educated. When muslimah go for check up she demand a lady doctor , she want lady nurse to be with her! How do you expect women to be in positions of doctor and nurse when you need service or your wife needs service, at the same time you utter woman should stay at home. Islam does not burden a woman with financial responsibilities, but it does not prevent her from going outside or getting education and working.

In another video, brother Ustahd Tim Humble mentioned that some women claim hijab doesn't protect them because men still look at them... well, the best advice I have is the niqab. Make sure your hijab is not adorned, pretty, or anything like that. The purpose of hijab is to divert... not attract. Avoid free mixing, tabbaruj, haram actions, and so fourth. Sometimes, larger problems are caused by smaller problems. Just some thoughts...

Hence why I have no compromise on *correct* hijab for my future wife, even though my relatives, family, friends see me being extreme or looking for 'perfection'. the problem with face veil is that any person (man or woman) can hide under a full garment ( outer dress and face veil) and commit crimes... Also it can cause many misunderstanding and fitnah... I believe identity is very important in islam, with face veil one can not be identified... just my personal opinion, no offense intended...Allah knows the best.... peace

Well said, Ustad Muhammad. Capitalism has found its hook into the homes of the Muslim through cognitive dissonance. Telling the Muslimah she is this, or that or the other when she obeys her rabb. Never saying to her out right to forget your lord or worship but slowly
and steadily pulling that which context her to her deen away from her. It's a shameless trick!
But the females of the ummah of Muhammad ﷺ are not fooled .

When Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies.” [al-Ahzab 33:59], he covered his face, leaving only one eye showing. This indicates that what was meant by the verse was covering the face. This was the interpretation of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) of this verse, as narrated from him by ‘Ubaydah al-Salmani when he asked him about it.

@@authenticislamreminders that doesn't make covering face obligatory , unless there is an hadith that prophet pbuh said so. Please do not make life difficult for muslimah by taking hints. You don't even say one of sahabi said so. You say sahabi r a hinted so. Have you tried walking with one eye covered? And if you walk with one eye covered it will cause serious eye problems. We are a community were women were uplifted by prophet as teachers, scholars . As far as I know our mother khadija was a successful entrepreneur. Women are not competing with men.
