- Hello guys, welcome to my channel and to my reaction to the first episode of the first season of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
Today we're once again starting a new show, the prequel show to Jim Henson's 80s classic The Dark Crystal. We're getting to know the new heroes and the old world of Thra and learn the origins of the Skeksis' sinister plans to eradicate the Gelflings.

I LOVE FINDING PEOPLE WHO REACT TO THIS SHOW
I enjoyed this series more than I thought I would going into it. There's a lot of fun allegory, especially for a kids show. Knowing where everything is going puts a certain tone over everything.
I was always very interested in this show, ever since I saw the first teaser, but I knew that it would heavily depend on the execution if I would like it or not.
After watching the first episode and seeing that they are really faithful to the movie and mainly use puppets, I'm certain that I will love this. ^^

The Emperor is voiced by Jason Isaacs, the Scientist by Mark Hamil, rhe all-maudra by Helena Bonham Carter

skekung the garthim master, who becomes the new emperor in the film, is indeed missing. he and a few other skeksis from the film are elsewhere during the series though they do get mentioned in a later episode.
The only ones that were in the movie and not in the series are SkekUng the Garthim Master, SkekShod the Treasurer and SkekNa the Slave Master
The new ones that were not in the original movie are SkekLach the Collector, SkekMal the Hunter and SkekVar the General

And a few skeksis who don't appear in either (skekSa the Mariner, skekLi the Satirist)
you should react to the umbrella academy, its a great show, also lucifer and a series of unfortunate events
Umbrella Academy is on my list, Lucifer too. Have to take a look at ASOUE, I only know the movie with Jim Carrey. ^^

Yes, also did a rewatch reaction of it before I started the show. It's one of my favorite childhood movies. :)
