When I started nature watching 5 years ago, Pasir Ris Park was already popular with a few sets of owls here.
    1. One eye Jack and partner Jane, they were permanent resident just above car park C.
It was sad that they left this place after the work started for HDB constuction next to the car park.
I have not spotted them since.
    2. Buffy fish owl couple at car park F. Another issue when the authorities decided to cut down the trees and built a park connector. The habitat of the owls were destroyed and I did not spot them since.
    3. Spotted wood owls at car park C. They have been here all along, but not sure what is the resons, they started to change their nesting to car park D 4 years ago.
    4. Sunda Scops Owls at car park D, Kingfisher pond. Construction has started next to it (Sighted on 24/4/2024) and everyone is praying hard it will not affect the habitat of the Sunda Scops and nearby mangrove snakes.
Having to spot 2 new sets of Buffy Fish owls in car park C and E is something new to me this year 2024. Though the couple at car park C beach park has not been spotted after my sighting on 6 Apr 2024, I do hope they can be spotted somewhere in Pasir Ris park soon.
Sharing some precious footage taken for the Spotted Wood owls and the Buffy Fish owls at car park D and E respectively. Enjoy!!!

How easily you spot the owls and in such great number. Really live that. Beautiful kingfisher and the hornbill too.

If the owls are nesting, they will be there for a while. Once the juvenile left the nesting, then we will need some luck to spot them. The Spotted Wood Owls is really a very lucky spot for me. Thanks for watching friend. 😃

Welcome to Singapore. The juvenile owl has fledged and I am not sure if the family(at basketball court) will stay at the same location until end of the month. Anyway, best of luck to you. Hope you get to spot at least one of the owls there. If you meet any wildlife watchers there, do check with them too. I am very sure they are happy to share with you if they spotted any owls.

Very clear footage. How high is the focal length to film the owls?

How often do you see owls at Pasir Ris Park ? I usually see crows and chicken there, and a flock or two of Japanese White-eyes

If nesting season is on, the owls is always around near nesting area. Usually during this time, we can spot them easily. Once baby is ready to fly, the whole family will leave the nesting area. Thats when we need some luck and very sharp eyes to spot them. I visited PRP car park E, basket ball court last Sat (27/4/24). the whole family was there. But baby has flew to another tree. Not sure if they are still here. If you visit again, do check them out, I usually screen every tree all the way to the top. LOL. Happy owl spotting.

Just a small advice if I may. Your shots are great and editing too. I love seeing them and I subscribed. Unfortunately the music you use doesn't match and does not blend well apart that is not relaxing and noisy. I would go for more softer music ex celtic or similar ethnic. I hope you take my criticism constructively. Thank you for sharing beautiful wildlife of Singapore parks.
