    Have you ever thought of taking your soap shavings from bevelling and suspending them is clear soap for a sort of waste-not-want-not recycling?

      I don't waste them. I roll them into a ball and give them to my Aunt. She loves them! Great idea though! 💖

      I put all my beveled shavings in a mesh bag and use them like soap. The bag makes them lather great and you don't have to waste anything.

      Tommy Ohlrich I agree! I’d have to buy several so I could use one, give one as a gift then save one...my partner used to collect soap (there’s a long sad story behind it) and I thought of putting a soap shelf in the bathroom for beautiful soaps and when I saw this video I sent it to him to see if he wanted to start a new collection 😂😂😂

    I live just outside of Louisville and I have to leave my soap covered and in the mold for 48 hours too! I love this design! The colors are awesome and I like the way you achieved, what looks like two different soaps in one design. It came out so freakin' cool!

      very thorough. in case you like, a shortcut is to add the scents to the main batter, then divide by her percentages for the colors :)

    This video got me into making soap. My son has sensitive skin, and store bought soap makes his eczema go crazy. Usually when the temperatures drop at the start of winter, his skin gets really rashy and scaly. This is the first winter guys skin hasn't gone crazy! And now we have 300+ bars of soap we are trying to sell at local craft fairs 😂😂😂

    I think this came out pretty good, I love how you mix the micas on the plexiglass with your palette knife, it's such a handy tool and I can see how much you love it, I want to get one to. The colours go together really well, you can't go wrong with purple and green, I do like the darker portion of this soap though.

      @@TreeMarieSoapworks I have family members who are scent sensitive. Is there 'scents' that are extremely mild that you can get to make your own soaps in this way? Almost scentless or something like that?

      I am not sure I understand what ASMR is. Would this video qualify as ASMR as it is, or would there have to be more sounds other than my voice?

      @@TreeMarieSoapworks well basically, asmr is a sound-centric video. So you get rid of the music, use calm ambient sounds and amplify the usual soft sounds. So in this case it would be the cutting of the soap, mixing the oils, scraping the pigment etc. I think you would get more views...? (Not sure) It's pretty big on youtube. Try watching some asmr craft videos like Oh Nino.

    First try: seized up after a tiny amount of stick blending and poured into color cups. . .before I could pour from containers into one divider section! So I removed the dividers and glopped it all into the mould and did my best. It’s in the oven. I am very sure it will be interesting looking. Plus it Has awesome oils and mixed in sweet cakes fragrance oils(I’m an OLD yahoo groups soaper and always loved sweet cakes fragrances): peony petals with a couple of drops each of red rose and lily of the valley. Mmmm. Wonderful fragrance! So not to worry! I will get the soap solution better at the start and will try try again!

      Jonathan these liners are just "sealed air" packaging material that you get in your packages. Just cut them open at the top. Someone shared this tip in Soap Challenge Club.

    This is soooo pretty! I am soooo intimidated by cold process soap making but I'm watching lots of videos to try to get the best understanding I can so I can try once it gets cold and going outside is miserable. :)
