Crit Rate has double value (crit points) than Crit Dmg IMO (for example an S drive cam give 24% crit Rate but 48% crit dmg) If you see it that way even if she gets 40%crit Rate (which would be like 80 crit points), but Ellen gets 100 crid dmg from her core too with more crit Rate than Zhu Yuan.

I'd say if you enjoy using Anby, Qingyi will be the S-Rank equivalent. If you enjoy Piper, then Jane Doe will be up your alley. You can migrate their w-engines and disc drives if you don't plan on/cannot get their respective signature w-engines, too. Really depends on what you already enjoy or what sort of attribute theme/combo you desire to use in the short and long term.
My current short-ish-term plan and what I've been saving for as a light spender (membership + bp), is to go for Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and whatever banner has Seth on it. If he'll be on Qingyi's, great! If he'll be on Jane's, I'll be happy if I manage to get her as "collateral", but I don't have her as a high priority, personally.

sorry, but the way you calculate CV (crit value) is lacking, 1% crit rate is valued as 2 CV, 1% crit dmg is valued as 1 CV. so zhu yuan's CV is 88,8 the same as nikomata's.. and when it comes to pulling, i srsly have no clue who to go for. zhu yuan would be the obvious pull, because of element coverage, but on the other hand i also only have 1 stun unit, which would mean i should probably pull qingy, but do i really want 2 electric stunners? also jane doe's element seem quite saturated, but i could far easier build a disorder team around her then build a complete new team around zhu yuan i think i have never felt so indecisive when it comes to pulling as i feel right now

I skip her not bc of meta but i just dont like her animations. It isnt what i thought Ether to be. When looking at Nicole, Ether is like the pretty element. But for some reason there isnt much special effects with Zhu Yuan. As for those Ellen defenders. I believe Zhu Yuan to be really strong especially with Nicole.

Qingyi will be very desirable once we get limited electric types, she’s worth it. Plus she will be stunning better than all our current stunners!
