Have been buying olight's for the past 12 years with no problems! I mean NO problems!! They hold up well!
Got a pl-3r for my full size during the sale and have a pl-mini 2 on my carry in addition to a few standard Flashlights. Olight makes a great product, and are easily one of the best for the price imo
thanks for the beam comparisons, helps alot
I have a dozen of their products and couldn't be happier with them
Are they around the same footprint for holsters
Great video
Thank you
Will these OLight systems fit in a Safariland holster for a TLR-1?
I have 2 Pl Pro Valkyries and 1 PL 3. No real complaints. The streamlight and SureFire beam is much better and defined. They are good for the price.
I have all and all are great, olight is the best for the price. None have failed me I don't get the olight hate they're awesome. Also i like the turbo olight for outside its the brightest of them
The rechargeable olights are amazing lights! Never had one problem with any of them. I will continue to buy them.
nice video !!!
Thank you
Does the PL3R fit in any Streamlight holsters? Safari land or whatever you may have? Or are they too different. Thanks
The PL-3R does fit in Safariland holsters that are for the TLR-1 and TLR-1HL.
@@just_a_guy7753 thanks for the info.
Hi, does the pl3 fit the same holster of the pl2? Tks.
No
I have olights, stream lights and surefires . All have positives and negatives at the moment I’m interested to see what the new holosuns are like.
I’ve never purchased an Olight but sure see people talking smack about them.
There was one incident out of probably hundreds of thousand that they have made. You know how the internet is, you mainly only hear the bad not the good.
Don’t worry the people who talk smack about them haven’t either
@Gear Runner and wasn't that a battery issue not a flashlight issue?
@@thoughtsfromaidiot5928 I believe it was
usually people over exaggerate that "exploding battery" crap. but imo what olights suck at is maintaining the max lumens. usually you get the max lumens for a very small amount of time and then the drop off in lumens is pretty extreme.
Is the PL-3R a white light or does it have a yellowish hue?
It's a white light, I just got mine a few days ago
I bought a holster for the Tlr-1 Hr. Will the Olight PL-3R Valkyrie fit in that holster?
Will it fit in a we the people holster for a trl vs valkyrie
No. Just buy a TLR. They are proven and tough and won’t start on fire lol. The more candela you have, the more blind the person is gonna be that’s on the receiving end of the light because it’s a more focused beam and whatnot.
It fits great. And it is a We the people holster.
Can you program the Low Mode out and only use High?
Low mode kicks in when the light heats up past a certain threshold is my understanding.
The pl3 lumens drop dramatically the longer it is on. I won't ever but one. They advertise it as 1300 lumens, but that's for the first 10 seconds
I just bought my first streamlight tlr 1 the other day and I really like it. I do prefer the x300 controls more.
I’m with you on that. Both are great lights but the Streamlight is so easy to ND.
The new PL-3 keeps the setting you last used when it is turned back on.
Engaging a target at more than 100 yards with a pistol is over optimistic anyways. 😅
If it’s all I had and I was cornered I’d try it though
@@gearrunnertrue. I'm more saying the olight's performance is on the outside of your firearm's effective range. So the streamlights slight advantage of lighting another 35 yards or so isn't that much of an advantage, and I'd prefer a better spread at closer range on a pistol. Thanks for the review.
@@acester86 you are very welcome, on my pistols I also prefer spill
I prefer the Streamlight better. Thou i haven't had any experience with the Olight.
As a civilian the pl3r is more than adequate. If i was law enforcement or military then definitely not
Since other companies are putting high candela lights ive moved on from Olight
Glock 30sf tlr7
Glock 41 tlr9
ahhh. the good ol olight commercials. lol. o light ain't bad. however I'm not crazy about how they push ppl to do the commercial stuff all the time. let the product sell its self
I don't think a handgun light needs to be a 1000 plus lumens.
Speak for yourself. I live in a heavily wooded area next to a state park, brighter is always better.
