Here at Thomas Edison National Historical Park, we have these great Jr. Ranger Booklets available at our visitor center. We also have printable version available on our website.

When you complete the program and take the pledge as a Jr. Ranger you receive a badge from us.
This is a fun activity to help you better understand our park and we are not the only park that offers these engaging materials. Lots of parks offer them for the purpose of helping new generations learn, explore, and protect natural and historical resources. More information can be found on the NPS website.

With the help from our fellow parks, we collected the books, badges, and patches from all different programs. We made a video featuring some of our favorite books and made a huge display with all the badges we received. We received 125 books and I can tell you firsthand some of the activities are surprisingly challenging! Every Park Ranger love seeing enthusiastic Jr. Rangers come to their park with a vest loaded with badges/patches. It’s a fun souvenir you get after accomplishing one of these programs! We hope to see more Jr. Ranger in the future but more importantly we hope these activities offer kids a better experience and long-lasting meaningful memories when visiting any National Site.
