- An American Couple in New York saved 9 Korean tourists from a deadly snowstorm in the winter of 2022.
To thank for their kindness, we invited the couple to Korea this past May.
In addition to the heart-warming reunion with the Korean tourists,
the couple enjoyed the beautiful, lively streets of Korea in Changdeokgung Palace, Jonggak, and Mangwon Market.

This video was touching, and the fact that it actually happened reassures us that there are still good people out there. It was amazing to see the act of kindness and gratitude expressed by inviting the Campagna family.

Helping people and being hospitable to someone you don't know can sometimes help someone extend their lifetime and decreased the risk of depression. It's so true whenever I am out of the country like in Korea and someone help me even just responding to my simple question on how to navigate a place, it's like I was being blessed for a second and it also cut my worries and I also felt a sense of comfort.

It's my first time hearing about the story of the Campagnas and how they saved 9 Koreans in a snowstorm. I really like the slogan 'KOREA NEVER FORGETS' chosen by the Korean Tourism Organization because it shows that Korean people will never forget the help of others and will always show gratitude, just like inviting the Campagnas couple on a trip to Korea.
It was a beautiful, touching and heart warming story. It's so nice to see people help each other even if they're not the same or not related. The American couple did this lifesaving deed with humanity. But what unexpected was the reciprocity by the KTO to recognize the untimely help of the couples. Spending a month to explore Korea is the best gift for the couples to cherish their memories for a lifetime. It's a moral for everyone to realize that love and kindness win hearts.

I was just watching this on Kingdom Friends Instagram and it's truly a beautiful, heartwarming story no matter how many times you see it. It's might seem like a little thing to help someone in need but honestly speaking sometimes it's seems to be not as prevelant in modern society for various reasons some people are reluctant to offer help to open their home, for fear for other reasons. Or maybe the bad news just makes it seem less prevelant because I think fundamentally humans are a compassionate species. But it's praise worthy that this couple were willing to open their home to 9 strangers that they realised were in a dangerous situation giving them safety and security and showing kindness and warmth. It's wonderful to see this joining together of people and cultures. It's just goes to show that language, race, nationality, distance in the grande scheme none of that matters at all. What matters is humanity, kindness, love gratitude. It was nice that they got to visit Korea and experience the wonderful culture after sharing wuth the Korean tourists in America, they (the tourist) had the opportunity to share back, to show forth the same warmth on the other side of the world.
