Hey Captmoonbeam as always great video and I hope that you and your wife had a wonderful time in Nassau. That beach that you flew over during your approach brings back alot of memories. My best friend that I grew up with in Nassau his father was in charge of the Air Traffic Control facilities in Nassau and he would host a big barbecue party on that beach for pilots and controllers from the US, Europe , and the Caribbean every summer. I always looked forward to that event every summer in July as a young boy.
Great flight to Nassau! You are a great piolet, enjoyed your video. Your wife is really cute and she loved that trip to Nassau, hope you both had a great time.
Yesterday I saw your videos for the first time, they are so nice and we learn a lot. I love this one of today with you and your wife. I hop that you had a wonderful time in Nassau.
Hey captain moonbeam! I had just finished a flight in Salina a few months back and heard ya on the radio , I didn’t catch it was you until my instructor mentioned it. I fly out of kstate and was in shock to be in the air with you at the same time! Clear skies!
Ahhh...Salina,former Shilling AFB. Cool airport, longgggg main runway. I built that airport for MS Flight Simulator 5.1--also worked in FS98 about 20 years ago when the Sim had few airports as defaults. Also did Newton.
Man, 5 day's in Nassau just flew by in 5min.'s! Just like life, one moment you are a 20 year old in another you are 50... Yikes! Buckle Up for the Speed of Life!
Hello sir! I enjoy your videos! Just a question coming from a former 206 amphibian pilot who hasn't flown in years. What happened to "position and hold"? I hear" line up and wait now"?
I love your videos I'm a big fan of Aviation and I have to be honest with you watching your vlogs inspires me to go further with mine good job very good production and I also appreciate the lesson I learned every time you get ready to go for a flight tell you another Secret I would love to see you pilot to B757-300 that's my favorite aircraft winglets and all
Jim your wife is a real trooper letting you video her and include on your channel. I am guessing since she has rode on a corporate jets few times the “rock star” effect has worn off. Excellent video as always. Great scenery on the trip back.
Funky nassau. Heard the place is dangerous now. After merv griffin sold it its all downhill the original paradise island was a dream now its a commercial crap hole sorry to say.
Thanks for taking us on the trip as always. Sorry kris didn't get to fly home with you. Hope she had a good flight home. next time you do a live stream on youtube send out a 30 minute notice so your subs will get an advance notice of the stream. Have a great week. God Bless!!!
Thanks for the great content Capt! I’ve really enjoyed going back through the older videos during the quarantine. Really helping out the Avgeeks in me! All the best!
Another great laid back video Jim. Much appreciate your efforts putting the material together. Always good to see the beautiful Caribbean... pretty long haul - nice to have Kris along. Atlantis is an amazing place. Some pretty heavy skies in Tampa... great shots of thunder heads as you left.
FSI policy is that recording of any kind - classroom or sim - is forbidden and you can lose your 'full service' agreement if you do so. Some instructors may let you do it, but it's at the risk of their jobs if management wanted to make a point.
Ok, so now you have the nearly perfect title for your memoirs. Something like War (West Virginia) or Experiment (Georgia) or Chicken (Alaska) rather than Nassau. might pique a potential reader's interest more :). Another great video. Cheers
Hello!! Great flight, I’m Beginning to fly the citation excel, I know is a great plane, I been flying A320fam for the last 13 years. Welcome new aircraft and job.
Things can change real fast in aviation, especial from dispatch. I'm sure your sweetie understands regardless of good intentions. After all, your a pilot. I know lots of pilots that are divorced. Lo.. I think you got a good though.! Love the show, and thank you for sharing.
I am NEW to your channel and i am enjoying your videos a lot. Keep up the great work. You will have to get your wife to do the company stewardesses course, that way she may be able to do more trips with you.
Very nice flight to Nassau. I am sure your wife enjoyed flying private even though she had to fly SW home. The Atlantis is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities. Hope you and the wife had an enjoyable time in the Bahamas!
I loved the trip. Exceptional video. Beautiful scenery of the days spent in Nassau and the return trip. I loved the contrast of the darkness of the thunderstorms against the brilliancy of the sky. Hard to beat this one.
We've had lousy weather here in Florida the last 2 weeks. That goes for the Bahamas also. Rain and lack of sun. Wished it would have been sunnier for you guys. Nice flight though.
captmoonbeam i have to say its great how you still answer almost every comment even with your growing channel size.Very good community interaction!Thank you very much for that.
Another nice one, great shots of the weather, night landing, and I still say Mike sounds more like Chuck Yeager than Chuck Yeager. Please tell him I said so.
That's great you were able to fly your wife to the Bahamas - not many people can say that! Beautiful place - hope to get there one of these days. Visited Bermuda last summer for the 1st time. I could certainly get used to that island weather! A big contrast to New England in every way. Thanks for the great footage, Captain!
Yeah, hurricanes aren't much fun. I think I may be able to trade the never-ending winters, and the car-dissolving salt up here for that, especially after this past winter ... 😁
Love your Drama free approach. Your vlog is great.
thanks.
Amazing trip, beautiful, look you have a good time. I love when you show parts of the plane like the fuel door and how it works, thank you.
thanks for watching Mario.

Thanks Darryl. That sounds like a lot of fun and good memories.
Your wife is great Jim. Looks like she had a good time.
thanks. W both had a great time.
Gee, I hope you bought her a first class ticket! SWA doesn't have FC. You got off easy! LOL
I told her all the seats were first class.
Bet she believed that! Great video
You didn’t put her in the “power seat?” What the heck? ;) I know I’m late to the party, but great video, CPT!
Very underrated channel for aviation content! Thanks for all your work, Captain!
Great flight to Nassau! You are a great piolet, enjoyed your video. Your wife is really cute and she loved that trip to Nassau, hope you both had a great time.
Good music, good editing, good pictures, a pleasure as usual :)
thank you very much.
Yesterday I saw your videos for the first time, they are so nice and we learn a lot. I love this one of today with you and your wife. I hop that you had a wonderful time in Nassau.
Seems that the best way to a woman's heart, is through a VIP private jet ride!!
Nice flight as always. It was great that you could include the Mrs.
Ahhhh!...….the life of a professional pilot. Wine, wife, song...…….and a private jet. Nice to see Mrs. Sorsby again.
I need to take her on more trips.
Hey captain moonbeam! I had just finished a flight in Salina a few months back and heard ya on the radio , I didn’t catch it was you until my instructor mentioned it. I fly out of kstate and was in shock to be in the air with you at the same time! Clear skies!
If we were in N2Q we were on our way to long Beach California.
Ahhh...Salina,former Shilling AFB. Cool airport, longgggg main runway. I built that airport for MS Flight Simulator 5.1--also worked in FS98 about 20 years ago when the Sim had few airports as defaults. Also did Newton.
David Keith nice!!!what an impressive list of achievements, yeah the main runway is great, hard to mess up a landing on it in a c172.
Man, 5 day's in Nassau just flew by in 5min.'s! Just like life, one moment you are a 20 year old in another you are 50... Yikes! Buckle Up for the Speed of Life!
sometimes life comes at you full throttle.
Hello sir! I enjoy your videos! Just a question coming from a former 206 amphibian pilot who hasn't flown in years. What happened to "position and hold"? I hear" line up and wait now"?
That changed about 10 years ago to align with with ICAO.
I love your videos I'm a big fan of Aviation and I have to be honest with you watching your vlogs inspires me to go further with mine good job very good production and I also appreciate the lesson I learned every time you get ready to go for a flight tell you another Secret I would love to see you pilot to B757-300 that's my favorite aircraft winglets and all
thanks.
Awesome stuff there Jim! I miss Atlantis, gorgeous place! The yachts are gorgeous as well, unreal $$$! I recognized the guys voice on the taxi boat.
I forgot to get video of the Yachts, I always take the water taxi to Senor Frogs for lunch.
Jim, love it when you include your wife..a beautiful smile and lady, so enjoyed vid!
thanks Bruce.
I was at KTPA last 2 Sunday’s . When was this? 👋🏻KSRQ☀️🏝🇺🇸👨🏼✈️👸🛩
about two weeks ago.
SKBenergy calls that "The Boss" 11:20. Always enjoy the videos. Keep em coming!
Thanks Frank. SKB is right and I'll keep them coming.
Jim your wife is a real trooper letting you video her and include on your channel. I am guessing since she has rode on a corporate jets few times the “rock star” effect has worn off. Excellent video as always. Great scenery on the trip back.
thanks Brian. That's only the second time she's gotten to go along.
Geez! A BA Trip7?!! l didn't think Nassau landed anything big.
:/
That's the biggest I've seen there.
Was your wife not feeling well? She wasn't smiling much, just an observation :)
She had a great time but, she's a little camera shy.
Nice life and a great flight. Lucky to get paid for what you love doing and having an understanding wife. Good Job.
I totally agree.
Cap' when you've landed on these wet runway's have you ever felt the aircraft loosing grip..?
Everything I fly now has anti-skid which is great for wet runways. Sometimes you can feel it release the brake pressure as you hit water.
Funky nassau. Heard the place is dangerous now. After merv griffin sold it its all downhill the original paradise island was a dream now its a commercial crap hole sorry to say.
Just like anywhere. It's good to be aware of your surroundings.
You are quite an inspiration! You lead a fascinating life. Have you thought about writing a book?
Thanks Simon. Every now and then I've thought about it but, that's about as far as it's gone.
Until I watched the video, I figured you had simply missed a checklist item.
She's number one on the checklist now😀
Maybe we could do a “Take your subscriber to work” day.... That would be fun.
I would need really big plane and we could count it as my first meetup.
Thanks for taking us on the trip as always. Sorry kris didn't get to fly home with you. Hope she had a good flight home. next time you do a live stream on youtube send out a 30 minute notice so your subs will get an advance notice of the stream. Have a great week. God Bless!!!
thanks and will do.
Thanks for the great content Capt! I’ve really enjoyed going back through the older videos during the quarantine. Really helping out the Avgeeks in me! All the best!
So nice for you two to have some R&R in paradise! Too bad she had to fly alone home! Stuff happens!
she was good with it and had a great time.
Thanks Chris. I went back two days later and brought the Caravan back. That's my next video.
Do you prefer the Garmin or Honeywell Avionics?
I'm starting to lean towards Garmin.
I haven't been on a vacation in years!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Gosh, I love this channel. Your attitude, low-key yet informative approach and the fact that nothing feels fake or contrived is what I like most.
If you ever come to Boston or providence let me know. I’ll take you to dinner
Thanks. I don't think I've been there since I've been flying this group.
do you own/always use the same planes?
Chris is a really attractive lady. You're a lucky guy!
I agree and I am thanks.
Thank you for sharing. Your wife is lovely..
thanks for watching.
It's 5oclock somewhere!
Another great flight. So, did your wife get home before you?
Yes. she got back much earlier than I did.
When you go for your Flight Safety ride that would make an excellent couple of videos if they allow you to video it Captain!
I've tried to get good video there but it's hard to do.
FSI policy is that recording of any kind - classroom or sim - is forbidden and you can lose your 'full service' agreement if you do so. Some instructors may let you do it, but it's at the risk of their jobs if management wanted to make a point.
Great video. Some breathtaking shots.
thanks.
Happy landings, Captain !
Sir, why there is cable on the upper of the citation plane?
It's the antenna for the HF radio.
Have you ever cruised at 50,000ft..?
The highest I've flown was at 47,000 ft.
Beautiful woman, beautiful aircraft nuff said.
thanks Phil.
Another great video. Perhaps you have already explained but what is the wire from the vertical tail to the top of the fuselage?
Thank you for the reply and information. It does look antiquated. One would think that an upgrade would be able to eliminate it.
That's the HF antenna.
I really really really REALLLLLY like your channel.
thanks that makes me feel good.
What's the average cost to land at this or most airports? There is a fee right?
Customs fees, handling fees, over night parking plus fuel I think was around $2,900.
I did the same thing with my wife! She still found her way home tho.
You've got to throw away her bag of bread crumbs.
You are such a gentleman towards your wife. I bet she feels like the luckiest women on earth.
Your wife is lovely. Hope you had a good time
Thanks and we did.
Nice shot of other aircraft at 3:43...Also good shot of weather at 15:14. Thanks :)
Ok, so now you have the nearly perfect title for your memoirs. Something like War (West Virginia) or Experiment (Georgia) or Chicken (Alaska) rather than Nassau. might pique a potential reader's interest more :). Another great video. Cheers
Thanks Jeff. I need to start working on my writing skills.
Great video as always! Question for you, did you get to the treadmill? We all saw a lot of good grub.
I have to confess. I was bad on this trip.
We will all give you a break on this trip, because you had your wife with you😍

thanks Joseph I was really happy with how that turned out.
We've had lousy weather here in Florida the last 2 weeks. That goes for the Bahamas also. Rain and lack of sun. Wished it would have been sunnier for you guys. Nice flight though.

Did Mike stay in Nassau or..?
yes. His wife was invited also but, she couldn't come.
Another nice one, great shots of the weather, night landing, and I still say Mike sounds more like Chuck Yeager than Chuck Yeager. Please tell him I said so.

How long of a flight was it to Nassau..?
2.9 Hours.
HOPEFULLY WE LL HAVE A MEET UP ONE TRIP
I've never tried doing a meet up
Nice cloud layers on both legs of your flight. You need a straw hat like Van Gogh wore often (=
I like that idea.
Another great video Jim Thanks for sharing and glad to see you got some time away with your better half :)
thanks Barry.
The one dislike is your wife 🤣
She's getting me back for sending her home
Wow, Cap! Your greatest vid yet. Funky Nassau!
Thanks John.
Wow wife got bumped, what luck, thanks for the flight.
We knew that was a possibility but, we still got 5 days together and she just saw it as part of the adventure.
Jim you need to do more videos with Kris....she's awesome by the way! those Bahamas trips makes me want to go!
I agree. I'm working on a video right now that's a 7 day road trip she and I went on last month.
I thought SUS had Customs.
The normally do, Just didn't have enough people for that day.
Tha Perks of the job....gotta love it ! And oh yeah love that sunset with those colors !
thanks,
Corporate pilot lifestyle! A first class ticket will never compare to that ride.
I agree with that.
Awesome place to take your wife to work today ! Great video Jim as usual.
thanks John.
What a rough life...Nice video.
LOL....Funny title.
Thanks.
Great Title.. LOL
Thanks.
Beautiful skies!

What was the water temp..?
Nice.
Other than hurricanes the weather is fantastic down there.
Yeah, hurricanes aren't much fun. I think I may be able to trade the never-ending winters, and the car-dissolving salt up here for that, especially after this past winter ... 😁
