Wayne Ward will never be forgotten by Hokie fans for this block. I still have probably multiple conversations a year about great moments in VT football. The Block is always brought up. I was at the game and didn't realize Davis scored a TD until a good 10 seconds after the play was over. Everyone in the stadium let out a collective gasp after the hit. WW also had a nice tackle in '99 national title game when he picked up Maddox on the kickoff return.

"UNTIL" they made that little trip to mo"town and took that 28-7 beatdown by wvu and tech never recovered to this day.
You are correct-VT did lose on Nov 20, 2002-however that has nothing to do with this clip as you can easily tell from the score on the video, it is a different game.

@tauras88d thats a good point except for the fact that wvu didn't destroy Vt's only shot at a BCS championship game considering they played FSU in the BCS title game in 99....I believe that was the year wvu had it in the bag until Mike Vick pulled the mo"town miracle...I do believe a couple years later that a team had THEIR only chance at a BCS title game destroyed by Pitt....in mo"town
