My understanding is that starting in the most recent arc (around episode 900), there was a pretty big shake-up on the production side of things, and the new director was a lot more open to using specialty animators for specific cuts. Once that arc started, a lot of non-Japanese artists started sharing clips of their work on the series (something that basically never happened before) because the studio started outsourcing specific shots to highly skilled animators. Basically every episode started having a 'this is where they put their budget' moment because there were a few singular animators tasked with 15-20 seconds of animation to make as dope as possible for each one. They also decided to match the art style to the theme of the current arc. Wano is heavily inspired by Japanese history and Kabuki theater, so literally from one episode to the next the art style goes from pencil-thin lineart to textured brushy inking on the characters, and the backgrounds look more looser and watercolor-y like an Ukiyo-e painting. I really hope they continue this theme and do a new art style to match the latest arc in the manga, which is very technology/sci-fi based.
As someone who genuinely enjoys reactors going in blind, knowing the spoilers but not the context behind it isn't that bad. Trust me. Him dying will hurt you like you actually lost a sibling. I'm still looking forward to your reactions because you're VERY insightful and One Piece is a series with deep lore. I can't wait for the theories and for when you eventually connect the dots and just say in defeat: "can't believe they foreshadowed this a couple hundred episodes earlier!"
Couldn't agree more about Ace. For me I was also spoiled by the openings and internet on many occasions. But none of that prepared me for how hard it hit me when some of the scenes I knew about actually came around. @airakazadnawri5766 I mean that's nearly 500 episodes in. I barely remember shit that I've watched when I'm that deep in. You think I remember sasori when we fighting madara? Fuck no XD
Uta (the character who Ado sings for) is a character in the anime, yes. The episodes are a tie-in for the movie, but Oda considers her story in the anime episodes to be canon. The movie itself is Non-Canon.
Just like Shiki he was asked to make a "canon" character to tie in a phony movie. But in reality I'm sure wi'll never hear of Uta ever again. And my god, what an annoying character she is, good riddance.
I am actually so surprised that the character is meant to be canon. Apart from Luffy's fixation over having a musician in his crew, she seems to have had no impact on him. I find it unbelievable that in 1000+ episodes he never mentionned shank's "daughter"? Who is the only young kid we've seen him interact with after Ace left?? This and the fact that she supposedly made him think about having a big scale dream of his own makes it soooo hard to believe that we only hear about her now. Also it was done so poorly in the anime, beeing introduced in these weird flash-forward scenes of him having flashbacks because it wouldn't have made sense to give him those flashback in the middle of everything in Wano. Haven't seen the movie but this introduction of Uta really did not make me want to see it lmao
@@titrok0982 Well, he never mentioned Ace at all until they met in Arabasta. Then afterwards, he never brought up Garp or Sabo until he met them. Really, the only person Luffy has gone out of his way to talk about is Shanks. Also, there were 2 parts of Luffy's character I saw that were impacted by Uta aside from his love of a musician. He was Hyper-fixated on becoming Ace's friend because he just had to deal with the loss of Uta. "There isn't anybody else! Being alone is much worse than getting hurt!" And second, Shanks told Luffy that "Uta was out following her dream". That is a big thing with Luffy. If you are out there following your dream, he won't stop you, and he will let you live your life, because that's what he would want in his place. If he wants to see her again, he'll just have to find her one day, just like he plans on doing with Shanks. I think the Flashbacks were rather well done, and tied in great with the film.
To answer your questions: - Yes, all music used in the video you're watching is from the series. OnePiece OST is the best! - Yes, that was Son Goku from DragonBall. OnePiece has done a couple of crossover episodes with DragonBall and Toriko - Yes, that was Uta. The series has some episodes that tie in with whichever movie is coming out around that time. Some of them are canon but most of them are filler since the only canon characters from movies are Uta (Film: Red) and Shiki (Strong World).

Oda built a planet with all the world societal problems, animals, culture and a bunch of different factions that progresses entirely separate from the crew

I'm pleasantly surprised this one went up to ep 1071, the official One Piece 1 second comp is just 1000. One Piece gets me emotional instantly or on command so easily.
the weird thing about getting spoiled about one piece is that, knowing what happens or the revelation of a certain important moments ends up being less important than the context of events that lead these characters to that point in their lives. seeing a powerful moment in the series in isolation doesn't end up taking much away from it retroactively once you find out everything that lead up to it. because it's everything that leads up to that moment that carries the bulk of that emotional power and weight
Thanks for the video, a really enjoyable reaction G!, don´t worry about spoilering yourself, I believe you will enjoy the journey even "knowing" little thingies so u go! enjoy, laugh and cry a lot because that´s One Piece
The thing with One Piece anime is that initially, the manga had about a 3 year head start. So, they could adapt about 2 chapters per episode for a good while. It's the reason 100 chapters of the manga was adapted into 40-50 episodes. Then around the episode 300-350 mark, the anime became about 40 or so chapters behind the manga. They had to slow down the pacing a lot and adapt only a single chapter per episode. That's where you get loads of padding like characters staring for 6 secs, the 3 mins recap at the start + a 2:30 secs opening, unneeded flashbacks etc. Over time, the anime started varying how much of the manga chapter it would adapt from even half a chapter to maybe 80% of it. One of the later arc in the anime exceeded the amount of manga chapters that arc covered. 115 episodes to 100 chapters. And currently the Wano anime episodes are about 30 numbers ahead of the manga. They recently adapted chapter 1048 while the anime is at episode 1075. The pacing is one of the most constant, controversial part of the series, even with Wano's phenomenal rise in production value. One piece actually only has about 15% filler episodes compared to nearly 40-50 percent filler episodes of Bleach and Naruto. There is a fan project called One Pace that trims the padding to be manga accurate, for better or worse. There are loads of anime original scenes and content that could get cut despite them actually enhancing the series as a whole. But the best part is that you are actually removing 24 hours of what they consider filler content. I would not recommend it as a newcomer simply because you would be missing out on loads of actually good in canon scenes and initial One Pace was very cutthroat in what they cut too. So, yeah, you are sitting through an entire day worth of padding but it is a small price for a full experience imo. The manga is a much better way to catch up since you can read at your own pace and you can just view memorable scenes in the anime when you want it.
Just gonna head on over to your patreon 👀👀 One Piece is such an amazing journey and I'm so excited to see you start off on your own adventure with it. I've been loving how engaged you've been with the openings and fan videos you've reacted to.
I'm an anime-only fan years ago while my cousins read the manga.. so years ago, they knew what would happen to Ace while I anxiously wait, watching weekly, praying for them.. so yeah, I was devastated when it was animated.. but still, I have rewatched Marineford Arc multiple times in the past years and I still cry.. One Piece is not an anime for the weak-hearted..
Don't be too concerned about the spoiler you guessed, you prolly got like less than 5% of the whole story and context. I'm a manga reader I know what will happen like months before the anime get to it but still very exited and enjoy the anime when they come out.
If there was one thing I knew wayyy before starting op was that there was a ckt named ace and he would die, so I thought I was prepared, but hell, the way it made me feel was uncontrollable, I even thought at some point that maybe I was wrong, maybe he would be saved. I have rewatched that arc and the whole show quite a few times but till this day, whenever he comes on screen or someone talks about him, I feel someone is tearing my heart apart, So dw, even after getting spoiled, u r going to experience the full pain.

7:46 About "stopping at the weirdest shots": With the amount of wacky powers and comic relief in this show there is seldom an episode without weird moments. We are in the next Arc now. But Wano took literally years to conclude (and probably had the longest single night in the history of any Anime) so...
I know most of the spoilers.. if not all.. because why not.. I don't mind them. I usually like to know the plot before I see it with my own eyes. So far spoilers didn't ruined my experience of any anime but since I met Ace just a while ago.. I know I can't get attached at least to him. You should just watch it. Took me only 40 episodes to be fully on board.
You should watch some of the movies, because these are fillers and can be watched like anytime, great starting point to get into one piece. Baron Omatsuri movie is great starting point and Movie Red

Dont worry Ace's death still hits like a truck. You'll forget you were spoiled cause the build up from the previous few arcs to that arc is just nuts. (as someone who was also spoiled before getting up to that part)
10:00 One Piece has some very brutal scenes in terms of violence and in terms of feels
17:00 So sad that you were spoiled but with the way this story is delivered it wouldn't matter if you know how things end up it will still be very impactful and sad
As someone who has read the manga for a few years it was actually kinda nostalgic to watch this with you
So when you get to gear 5 keep in mind that this is one of the best transformations in anime
Oda built a planet with all the world societal problems, animals, culture and a bunch of different factions that progresses entirely separate from the crew
Log Pose is indeed a compass of some sort, but unlike normal ones it shows the way to the next island instead of just north and these islands can also be high in the sky or under the deep sea which is why the needle is in that glass bubble. Certain Log Poses will always show an "recorded" island, the ones with no recording goes with the closest options with few day or longer cooldowns.
They really missed the opportunity to put the Enel face there
25:31 AWESOME VIDEO ONCE AGAIN! unfortunately, i will have to continue it later because this is about where i'm at in the series and i don't want to be spoiled! 😅😂
i'm back but i have to leave for spoilers again, lol! i'm leaving off at 27:39
As soon as you'll post OP reactions I'll join patreon! Can't wait to see your reactions 🥳🤗
How to get 1000 spoilers 😎
Awesome compilation though.
Really great idea regarding yt onepiece reaction. Reaction Compilations are way more fun than just reaction per episode.
I'm pleasantly surprised this one went up to ep 1071, the official One Piece 1 second comp is just 1000. One Piece gets me emotional instantly or on command so easily.
Man if only it went up to 1076.
the weird thing about getting spoiled about one piece is that, knowing what happens or the revelation of a certain important moments ends up being less important than the context of events that lead these characters to that point in their lives.
seeing a powerful moment in the series in isolation doesn't end up taking much away from it retroactively once you find out everything that lead up to it. because it's everything that leads up to that moment that carries the bulk of that emotional power and weight
the dude with the cigar is called Smoker ;)
Thanks for the video, a really enjoyable reaction G!, don´t worry about spoilering yourself, I believe you will enjoy the journey even "knowing" little thingies so u go! enjoy, laugh and cry a lot because that´s One Piece
Your reactions are great 😂❤
The thing with One Piece anime is that initially, the manga had about a 3 year head start.
Just Finished 1076 and man it was amazing.
Don't be too concerned about the spoiler you guessed, you prolly got like less than 5% of the whole story and context. I'm a manga reader I know what will happen like months before the anime get to it but still very exited and enjoy the anime when they come out.
The more you talk, the more I am like, this show is literally meant for you.
31:01 the world building remains top tier in One Piece
Sweet summer child dont let artstyle and goofiness fool you this series can go as dark as other media.
10:57 yes it’s music from the show
The music in the video is indeed of the show.
ammm , we still wating for the last crew memeber (1100+ chapters in), and the previus guy join 950 episodes in , so yeaaaa. Also not only they dont easily win , they losse like a lotttt.
Found your channel recently. I really love the variety of things you react to and your energy is really refreshing.
I'd love to see your reaction to a couple things but here are a few off the top of my head :
Hellsing ultimate abridged (you don't need to watch the show to understand)
D.Gray-man opening and endings (the reactions to those are way too rare on youtube)
Soul eater openings and endings (soul eater not doesn't count)
[S] cascade. Watch it out of context
YuGiOh GX opening precious time glory days (v1)
HunterxHunter 99 openings and HxH 2011 opening (they kept the same opening so pick one) and all the endings
Hazbin hotel and or Helluvua boss
Overlord openings and endings
This has so much more spoilers than watching all the openings.
I appreciate these videos
Uta is a Canon character that got cut with the first Year and half of Romance Dawn by Shonen Jump Editors but she is a Fushia Village background Kid in Anime only Flashbacks
Oda had that Year and half of Romance Dawn that hit the Editing floor Animated as a Film Ree tie in
100% of Fans in Japan watch Anime as they know Oda is Executive Producer,Series Dieector,Head Screenplay Writer, Head Storyboard director and has mentioned at leat half of his panels a week for the last 26 years gets cut every week by Shonen Jump Editors to squeeze into Shonen Jump and Oda encourages people to watch the Anime especially for extended fights and skipped events in Magna
"Magna Only" snob miss out Oda's Anomie Exclusives mislabing them "Filler Episodes/content"
Welp. Yeah. Okay. I watched it for the first time with you now. May I please sleep 😭
A good video i suggest you should watch is "why one piece is the king of worldbuilding" by mr morj. It does weirdly spoil but kinda doesnt spoil the story but it was very interesting to watch. I was left shocked at odas creativity and dedication to one piece and it really shows why one piece is one of (imo) the greatest anime and created fictional world of all time
So that was one second of all episodes. Now multiply it by roughly 17 min (some later episodes have alot of recap) - and here u got how long is OP anime)))
Good luck on ur One Piece journey! We youtube guys hope to see enough of it still))
You should react to : one piece amv dollhouse
It's a really good amv who show the ambiance and it don't spoil
Honestly you could watch or react at your own pace and still enjoy, get views and put out content
I’ve seen a wide range of approaches to folks getting into
One Piece
Yes, that was a crossover with DBZ and Toriko which is another anime also inspired by DBZ just like One Piece.
Luffy got a fist through his chest? That remind me of someone
Does anyone know where i can buy the Jinx-Vi poster behind her ? Pleaaase, i need it.
my friend bought it for me from redbubble - I don't know who made it but I would start there :)
@@georgieegames Thanks a lot !
trip down memory lane
WTF seriously WTF , Ep 193 has Luffy shadow on clouds same as in g5.
Just how far Oda Thinks when he's writing
Uta is a Canon character but the red movie is not a canon film
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that your patreon link isn't attached to your "about" page on RUclips.
The only thing with more spoilers then this is the tiles of the episodes if you don’t believe then look at the title for the episode where ace dies it’s literally titled looking for the answer fire fist ace dies on the battlefield. So whatever you do avoid the episode titles
Oh no, that's not a small spoiler, but too many spoilers😭
Sayang sekali anda tidak akan bisa menikmati alur cerita one piece dengan cara seperti ini....
😭😭😭
Crossover with yes: One Piece x Dragon Ball x Toriko
I recommend you to watch the last ending of one piece. It is very cool =D
29:21 no it was just a preview episode for the movie.
You could also wtach some flashbacks from one piece
this such a good series. I am episode 470 and only started three months ago
OH GOD NO
Damn, bro!
Why do these reactors milk the shit out of spoily contents like that just to watch a show, they take like a year just to decide if they wanna start it or not. You ruined so many moments and discoveries with these spoilers.
Ace died because of an "yo daddy" diss
It's great to watch the development in one video,I started watching it in 2011, It was a very long journey with many memories and I feel sad because the end is close, one piece is work of art, no it's the Art , I'm happy for you to discover it, Enjoy 🤩
The one piece! The one piece is reaaaaall!!! *Can we get much higher?*
You should try "1 second from every episode of JoJo" next
eh..you're watching a second of every one peice episode..of course it will be filled with spoilers xD
You watched 1 second of each episode, of course there will be spoilers 😂
Are you going to be watching/reacting to One Piece live action?
It’s actually pretty good 👍
Please just start watching it, these videos end up spoiling more and more important things...
7:46 About "stopping at the weirdest shots": With the amount of wacky powers and comic relief in this show there is seldom an episode without weird moments. And they were cherry-picking the most memorable here on top of that.
10:06 Well, One Piece is about Pirates. Of course it's gonna be brutal at times.
27:30 Well, you missed the boat narrowly.
Baron Omatsuri movie is great starting point and Movie Red
what episode you on
currently on episode 19, it's SO GOOOD
