I stumbled upon your music about 9 years ago, i found the song We Fall Out of Touch and fell in love with it. I immediately looked up more of your music and found this gem as well as many other songs and have been listening ever since. I never can get enough of your music.
Lyrics Well, here we are with burning skin Where we've always been And we all collide In the rising tide Then weather in the wind We live our lives Like hands are tied And dead in days of dreaming Embrace the race Of every days But forsake the feeling Are we killing time While these days unwind? We can't see past our own sad stories And wonder what we're missing We can't see past our own sad stories And forget how to listen But did there ever come a time When things weren't so defined? We've given new names To our hopes and our pain But love just gets harder to find We wrestle with what we think we should say And hang ourselves out in the air But most of the time I think you'll find The world's just pretending to care And it's a crying shame How we get so trained We can't see past our own sad stories And wonder what we're missing We can't see past our own sad stories And forget how to listen We can't see past our own sad stories And wonder what we're doing We can't see past our own sad stories And forget who it is we're fooling Well, here we are with burning skin Where we've always been
This guy is amazing. This song has been my favorite song for the past 3 years. And I feel silly for putting so much on one song-- but it has helped me through so much-- I've become a totally different person. Obviously not completely due to this incredible song, but it definitely played it's part. It's like a breathe of fresh air and reality. It doesn't matter how high or low I am, it always brings me back to the middle, and reminds me that theres more to the world than myself.
Found this song through the Helena Beat station on Pandora... actually was looking for this for about a week without knowing the title. Sad week. Happy day :)
This is quite a find! Wow. Simply wow. This makes me happy. Music is actually still alive. I thought Lady Gaga was pretty much the end of the world. Good job, keep it up! I'm a fan.
Talk about not being able to hear or listen, but it sounds to me like he is singing: "We curtsy past our own sad stories..." Curtsy, as in the little bend at the knees before the Queen move that women make.... and I like my version just as well as the stated lyric of: "We can't see past our own sad stories ..." I love this song and I am surprised to learn that it is so old. Gotta love Pandora.
This whole time I was thinking about how they should've put a fan in front of him to at least make it look more realistic that he was riding the bike hahaha.
Arcade Fire! but i love The Head and The Heart as well! If you haven't have Welcome Home by Radical Face come up on your Pandora, look it up right now. Its amazing!

Lyrics
Well, here we are with burning skin
Where we've always been
And we all collide
In the rising tide
Then weather in the wind
We live our lives
Like hands are tied
And dead in days of dreaming
Embrace the race
Of every days
But forsake the feeling
Are we killing time
While these days unwind?
We can't see past our own sad stories
And wonder what we're missing
We can't see past our own sad stories
And forget how to listen
But did there ever come a time
When things weren't so defined?
We've given new names
To our hopes and our pain
But love just gets harder to find
We wrestle with what we think we should say
And hang ourselves out in the air
But most of the time
I think you'll find
The world's just pretending to care
And it's a crying shame
How we get so trained
We can't see past our own sad stories
And wonder what we're missing
We can't see past our own sad stories
And forget how to listen
We can't see past our own sad stories
And wonder what we're doing
We can't see past our own sad stories
And forget who it is we're fooling
Well, here we are with burning skin
Where we've always been
