When I bought the car, I hadn't driven stick in over 10 years. If you drove stick at some point in your life, you'll be rusty, but it'll come back. Just give yourself time to get familiar with the car before you really start to rip on it. Dailying stick isn't bad. The worst part of it is when you have to start on an incline and someone with an Escalade rolls up behind you and gives you maybe three inches to roll back before you touch. Other than that, it's a pretty fun way to get around if you love driving stick. But I think you have to love it. If you feel anything less than love, daily traffic will probably ruin the experience.
I test drove that pt cruiser about 2 weeks ago and it was probably the scariest thing ive ever driven, had almost no power at all and had rattles everywhere. It did get alot of looks tho
There was a 92 mercury limo for sale near me a while back. It wasn't super stretched, probably only the length of a cab and a half extended bed f250. It had 120k on it and had a ford 5.0 in it mechanically sound. The back was fully decked out with reclining seats that were baller as hell. They only wanted 2 grand for it and I considered buying it immediately. It sold in half a day.
I saw the Porsche "959" limo on my local Facebook marketplace and felt like the history was so unique but the ask price was also uniquely undesirable for what a shit show it was.
If you can afford a modern car with a good DCT, get the DCT. Manual transmissions are fun, but winning is by far more fun. No matter the motorsport, a DCT or a sequential will always win given that the car is fast and so is the driver. Miliseconds count.
