  • In my opinion, Rihanna’s decision to fully immerse her sound and aesthetic to match the EDM culture of the early 2010’s with her albums "LOUD" and "Talk That Talk" is the defining moment that took her music career to astronomical heights and keeps her music relevant until this day.

Man, while Taylor Swift is releasing repackaged albums and pop music is pretty much made for virality, Rihanna’s discography continues to age like fine wine. i’m glad I was around to win this all this great music coming out.

I’m so glad she was so soft and vulnerable on this album (that critic can stay pressed). We never get to see Black Women being that soft and vulnerable, ESPECIALLY during that decade. It just makes me so comfortable and it’s so lovely. Like I love the Loud Era so much 😭❤️ Also, THE RED HAIR!😩

Rihanna might not write but she possesses something that a lot of artists don’t which is an artistic vision. She always knows where the culture is, where it’s going and she often defines culture. I think that’s reflected in all her albums from good girl gone bad onwards. You can tell that most if not all of her concepts come directly from her mind and she knows exactly who she is and what she wants to portray. Her artistic vision is unmatched she’s the queen of cool.

3:03, sorry this statement is very false, there are many black people who worked with Guetta (a leader in the EDM/Dance/Rave world) before Rihanna (Ex. Kelly Rowland 2010, Akon 2009, Kid Kudi 2010) and these years where the years rave and EDM really got popular. Not hate to you or Rihanna tho, just wanted to clarify that😂.

U do not be getting enough accolades for all this work u put into creating some of the BEST music commentary on youtube!!!!! so many of ur videos should have MILLIONS of views and u should be at like 200k subs by now🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Also the other day, I watched waynetvs video analyzing unapologetic and his main point was "unapologetic combines the best aspects of rated r, loud, and ttt", whatchu think?

Aww Thank you so much for the support! 🩷 Also, I feel like Unapologetic was the mature version of Rated R. So in a way, yes, it does combine the best aspects of her Dance pop era into a cohesive album.

@@domraonix man, I missed this era of music, Rihanna had a great run. Rihanna was one of my first celebrity crushes, we are 10 years apart.
